I wish we knew what the heck such offers the press writes about, are. How much is he getting offered? $15,000 per week? What are we talking about? Anyone know?0

If Bauer goes to a club like Preston, QPR, Reading, Wigan or Blackburn like he has been linked with it's an absolute disgrace. I'm not saying we are a bigger club than any of them but there is no way on earth we should be letting a key player go on a free to a league rival. This yellow toothed prick is such a toad. I don't think I've ever hated a human being who isn't a criminal so much in my life6

Not always to do with a weekly wage though is it. He'll get a decent signing on fee & may also just want a change of scenery. He may be looking forward to the delights of Preston, Wigan or Blackburn on a wet Tuesday afternoon.......Braziliance said:If Bauer goes to a club like Preston, QPR, Reading, Wigan or Blackburn like he has been linked with it's an absolute disgrace. Knowing Roland, it’ll be 25 dingo dollars per week with an extra 5 dingo dollars per appearance.3

If I was Bauer, I'd want a salary set in $ or €. The £ is only going one way long term and it isn't up.ShootersHillGuru said:

I doubt anyone knows and am always pretty suspicious of those who claim to.NapaAddick said:I wish we knew what the heck such offers the press writes about, are. How much is he getting offered? $15,000 per week? What are we talking about? Anyone know?1 -
So because I forgot to hit "Option+3", you are freaking out? I suggest you get a grip. With everything happening, find something else to complain about.ShootersHillGuru said:

I’m going to be as kind as I can be here. You’ve screwed around with rugby so it takes four hours to complete a game. We gave you baseball and you have The World Series* between teams in just two countries. You play hockey wearing skates. You turn up for two world wars a couple of years after they’ve started. You elected Donald Trump! You thought you’d rationalise English spelling but instead you just screwed it up.NapaAddick said:Henry Irving said:

*I do actually know why it’s called The World Series.11 -
Lockyer says he’s been at Bristol Rovers two years too long. Four Championship clubs have made offers plus a few League 1 clubs.

Proper noun. Spelt however you want. Like the Germans don’t know how to spell Cologne.ashley said:

As he is free to leave for nothing I doubt it.Vincenzo said:9 -
Not to mention if he had to leave for a fee of £500k that would rule us out of the running instantly.blackpool72 said:

Unless it's from a verified account or from a credible source such as Richard Cawley I generally ignore what's put on Twitter for these kind of reasons.

Fair enough. It is a rumours thread though, to be fair.4

That would be just like us to pay half a mil for free and then not offer Bowyer a contract.1

But its not a rumour if its a fake account or plainly just made up. I could easily say that I bumped into Jamie Ward & he told me that he's joining as next week on a free.1 -
Jamie Ward is joining us next week.
So I am informed.14 -

I realised that afterwards ((:>) .. I was just having a nightmare of Ward and Oztumer in our midfield, both VERY 'vertically challenged'blackpool72 said:

I wonder what the odds are that not one single player mentioned so far in 30 pages actually gets signed?

If and it's still a big if Bowyer signs a new contract I fully expect Eaves to sign for Charlton along with a couple of others mentioned.NapaAddick said:I wonder what the odds are that not one single player mentioned so far in 30 pages actually gets signed?
If Bowyer walks who knows.1 -
about Bowyer 'walking' .. this is possibly just wishful thinking, but I can't imagine him managing another club. Like Lord Llewellyn, he is Charlton management personified and no other club would fit his DNA or psychological make up. Bowyer might try managing elsewhere, it would not work out well.blackpool72 said:

Sorry to mention the mob dahn the road, but neither can I imagine Neil Harris at any other club. Some people are just made for certain jobs and places. Bowyer is one of those
