    Is Troy related to Dean?
No, its Dean Parrett & Troy Parrott

They were already discussing a new contract before Boro came in for him. Bristol City also offered good money but AD turned them down.
We seem to let contracts run down to the wire before looking to renew them and then offering a not very desirable contract. If we keep selling players for low fees as a result of not retaining players due to offering poor contracts/wages then it seems economic madness.

I don’t see how a businessman struggles with the concept that to sell for more you must invest a little more.

My only guess would be he was completely thrown off by the Lookman and Gomez sales and assumed he could sell players for big with only a year or two out of the academy.

It would be funny to work out how much his reluctance to pay a normal salary has probably cost him in transfer fees.
He's a businessman who is completely inept in this particular field and hasn't hired anyone competent in any senior position. Therefore he's happy losing players for shit fees because there's no one there to tell him he'd be making double the money if just signed them up on longer contracts.

I know I am sounding like a parrot (get it) but surely Murray who has a communication channel to Roland must be able to explain this?

We've lost out on so much money as a club due to mismanagement of contracts these last 5 years. He could have broken even with prudent management.

Oshilaja can play RB, but its yet another young promising player out the door for peanuts and another dent into our already small squad.

Highly doubt we will. Deji oshilaja and Solly it is. Him out and 2-3 in? Morgan and Lapslie out on loan too - wouldn't be surprising

Dijksteel is going boro. 2m. Massively underpriced in my eyes
    Says who?

What I've heard from 2 people, not had it confirmed from someone I trust as yet. But no reason to doubt the person that told me.
    Disappointing if true

I still haven't personally had it confirmed and after seeing that twitter link I'm doubting it
so the person who told me originally was right, i feel bad on doubting him now  :(

Can Oshilaja play as a wing back?

Who’s Oshilaja’s replacement to give us 4 centre backs? Considering we play 3 at a time we need 4 as a minimum.

Nathan Thompson - Portsmouth RB still hasn't got a club, be ideal right now.

This is fucking shambolic if we get rid of Djiksteel. If Ollie fucking McMuffin from Swansea is worth 18m then Djiksteel is worth at least 5m

    Decent player.
  • F***ing shambles - surprised RD hasn't sold all the players and asked LB to field the u14s.

RD is desperate for a return to L1.

Definitely don't want Dijksteel to leave, especially as it's unlikely Lee will get the money, but £2m is a very fair price for someone who literally only became first choice RB in the last 2 months of last season

Nope Cawley is saying that Boro's bid may have been accepted not that it has been

If you search Shotton on twitter, the top replies are all “should never play CB again” “ is not good enough” “is awful”.

Boro fans expectations are higher than ours but still, hmmm...

Anyway I think it’s a non starter, the guy is probably on five figures and there’s no way we are paying that.

Shotton isn't a bad player but he's better as a centre back imo. Does not offer much going forward.

Shotton is a solid enough RB at his level, lots of championship experience
