    I was always under the impression LB wasnt going to piss about with AD the moment he didnt sign a deal and as well as Boywer being pissed off about Aribo

    I think Bonne money come from the Aribo development fee

    AD was probably on about £1000 a week at The Valley. A Championship full back should expect at least £7 -10 k per week. No idea what he’s moved onto at Boro but I can’t help feeling that if we’d offered him even close to the going rate then he might have stayed. 
    I do not think this has anything to do with AD wanting to stay or leave,

    If Bowyer felt his % of the transfer sale if true could help him bolster the squad and get some deals over the line then he may feel he would rather use that to strengthen, this is different then the lookman sell on, because that happened before Bowyer was here (If part of the agreement was % of transfer money once Bowyer and his staff have sold a player so to speak)

    Wouldn’t be a bad signing, less pace than Grant etc but probably could form a good partnership with Taylor.

    Clearly. But having a budget is not an end in itself. It supports a goal. That goal should have buy in up front from the manager. For example aim to be 4th bottom in salary/transfer budget but finish above 4th bottom. With a clear plan for how you will outperform (e.g, agreeing that certain academy/young players are ready to be part of the squad, thus helping to stay inside the budget and meet the goal. That is how AFCW do it (and I am sure many more normal clubs). And now finally they will have a bigger budget, once they move into their new stadium having successfully maintained their Div One status. Incremental growth they call it, in normal businesses. We practised that too, long ago.

    The fact RD is squandering our opportunity to do well this season for his own perverse ends is the cancer. Players moving and being glad to do so the outward symptoms of our demise.

     I would also be quite happy for a block of frozen shit from an overhead flight toilet  to land on Duchatelet’s head & knock some sense into it but that’s pretty unlikely unfortunately. 

    Great, if 5 signings happens. I guess anything is possible. Lee Bowyer & Steve Galen continue to surprise.
