"Enjoyable, open and constructive dialogue. Good to hear success defined as both football progress and community progress." From a CAST attendee.14

Unless he had half a dozen new signings sitting around him, the deeds and signed builders contract for Sparrows Lane and the severed head of Roland Dutchelet on the table with the exchanged contract for the purchase of the Valley wedged in his rotten lifeless fangs...
I am still not happy!19 -
An informative and encouraging meeting.
About 30 people present. Questions asked right round the table.
Nothing (in my opinion) particularly revelatory. Others might provide notes this evening but CAST will try to produce a detailed write-up tomorrow.
Topics covered:
- Training ground development
- Lee Bowyer contract
- Importance of CACT
- Valley Express
- Ownership of club / stadium / freehold / training ground etc
- Former director's loans
- How to make fan representation more diverse
- Securing young players
- How can fans help?
- The need for ambition
- Transfer window deals (MS: "I won't do a deal if its not right for the club. We'll sign players on my terms"). Player prices / wages dropping dramatically as the month goes on.
- Plans to increase Valley capacity? No
- What does success look like for ESI ?
- Lee Bowyer still aiming for the play-offs !
- Sounds like Tahnoon Nimer will be at the Barnsley game
Probably some other stuff I missed but fuller write-up on CAST website tomorrow I hope.

Did Southall admit he was a liar, he doesn't get on with Bowyer and one of them will be gone in 18 months, we've not got any money and we won't be signing anyone?16
-
Topics covered look very comprehensive - hope the answers were positive

Thanks @Pico Appreciate you sharing all of that so soon after forum. Look forward to hearing the answers over the weekend behind some of these points.1

There are of course a number of very important questions there.
However, may I suggest that the one regarding ownership of The Valley & Sparrows Lane is the one that most of us want the low down on.
I don’t think I’m speaking for myself on that.13 -
Good meeting.
I was positive before meeting Matt and Lee Amis and continue to be so.
MS knows he has to walk the walk, he said so, but he has a plan.
ESI DO own the stadium. They don't yet own the car park etc but have something like a "compulsory purchase order" to by it and Sparrows Lane said Paul McCarthy.
Meeting ended by eight as MS and LA had a meeting with an agent for a player we MIGHT see sign early next week.
And Paul McCarthy reads CL avidly.
More later. Wine calls.31 -

Paul McCarthy is an ex journalist and now PR consultant to the club. Has been v proactive in arranging fan engagement and probably the one writing the statements.
Lee Amis is a lifelong Charlton fan and erstwhile poster on here.15 -

So they do own the stadium , boom
don’t ask the question again cos the answer may change15 -

They apparently own a 99 year Lease on the Valley stadium, via owning CHARLTON Athletic football company, will buy CAFC holdings which owns the freeholds. No answer achieved on when companies house will reflect that.
if Nigel is very keen he can I think look up the lease via the Land Registry (correct me if I’m wrong).I meant to ask how much they paid but someone got in with a pothole question before I could (just kidding).
Bowyer signing and being happy is a significant step. I’d prefer the Freehold of the Valley (and we know what that covers via ACV - the Trust can verify that!) was not separated from the club for any period though which it has been by this purchase. I’ll be far happier once RD no longer has hits mits on it.11 -
So I’m guessing that as soon as they purchase the car park then the pot holes will be filled in?3
