Im assuming Phillips must be one of the players making way for 6 to come in so one must be a GK im guessing.
Would we need another goalkeeper is Phillips left?
Yes AMB needs a loan and to play first team matches .

I hear that six coming in tomorrow.

Sauce - RedHenry on the takeover thread!
    Possible 7 now.

    RB x2
    CB x2
    LB
    RF
    CF

    My guess, no ITK knowledge.
Knowing Bowyer it will be CM x 7
I’m told that 5 of the new signings are goalkeepers.
    And they're all Yohann Thuram
  • While Joel Lynch comes with a lot of experience, he is also not very good.

Surely that matches our criteria though?
  • My view based on guess work

    1. Matthews
    2. Lynch
    3. Green
    4. Eye opener as per SLP report
    5. Full back on loan
    6. centre half on loan
    7. forward on a perm.
  • Is 3 Andre, Danny or Hughie?

    So

    1. Bernard Matthews
    2. Bet Lynch
    3. Professor Green

    Disagree.

This is League One. He has played most of his career at Championship level.

He also has a touch of the Nabster about him. Remember the two goals he scored for Huddersfield against us?

  • Doubt it’ll be Green, I think he needed to do more than he did to win a contract with us.
  • People said Pratley would be crap when we signed him, turned out ok. I fully back Gallen’s judgement
  • why am I not surprised that my serious post  has received these type of replies.

    okay, take 2!

    we are signing

    1. port salut from the french  third division
    2. Edam from holland
    3. Red Leicester from Leicester under 23’s
    4. Mature cheddar, experienced defender
    5. mini baby bell failed the Charlton life height test

    better?

Andre Green is more than capable of doing a job in League One for us
  • We need to look geographically.

Both Johnnie Jackson and Darren Pratley moved to us because they wanted to live with their families rather than out of a suitcase.

This is why I look at London based players more.

Should be I’m just not convinced by him. I think we may be able to sign better with a decent transfer budget. A bit like Lloyd Sam to me, on paper should be good but something is lacking that stops him being as effective as he should be.
  • Notice that Sam Field has not been loaned out or moved on from West Brom, wonder if he is on our radar again this year, Bowyer does love a midfielder.
  • Field will go to a top championship club on loan
  • Just like last year then?
  • Highly doubt Field will drop to League 1.

I defo agree he championship quality easily but that said would therefore fit the eyebrow raising signing at league one level and also knows the club and manager and I think for the first time in a few years felt with us was getting his career back on track. Maybe he feels stay injury free he has guaranteed first team football for a season in a potential promotion winning team to then be back playing in the championship within a year whereas he could end up on loan at a mid table championship club then sent back end of season in limbo again.
  • As good as he could be, we really don’t need another CM.

Much rather some wingers, strikers and defenders
  • Michael Morrison maybe?

I agree , really like Field as a player but I don't think we really need another CM to come in.

Well we've already lost: Cullen | Field | Gallagher | Kayal | McGeady | Smith | Davis from last season who played in the centre, Pratley too has potentially moved to CB

We've only signed Gilbey in that area so quite surprised that people dont think we need more depth in Centre-Midfield
  • I wasn't over excited by Sam Field anyway. He was decent enough, but hardly stood out before his injury and after his return he was fine but nothing special
  • Coventry are in for Field I read the other day.
  • Michael Morrison maybe?
He played 90 minutes for Reading at the weekend, so doubtful he'll be dropping a league for us.

I'm going to disagree. He didn't seem to have a footballing brain and didn't seem to want to put in the effort except that one game after his relative died.

That may come across insensitive, but he seems like the kind of player that requires picking up time and time again.

    That'd be an eyebrow raiser.
