Another three points. And another clean sheet. Although we haven’t dominated teams, we’re a very good side playing very effective football.
I thought we were good for the three points away from home. We looked solid at the back, even if Portsmouth’s misfiring attack was relentless. And we looked quality going forward when we did.
Gunther was a rock at the back (again). He looks great at centre half. Famewo was quality as per usual. Maatsen is a superb player. Matthews played well.
Shinny and Prattley in the middle worked well together. Foster-Caskey battled. Smyth provided some fresh legs and played well. Great cross for Chuks to put away at the back post for the second goal.
Going froward, Williams did well and his goal was quality. Bogle battled hard, holding the ball upfront.
Over to you.

Top of the table when we win the game in hand. Best defence in the division. Spanners thrashed at home. Happy days - you Reds!!!10

Every game it feels like we discover a new wonder signing. Gunter's turn today. Smyth finally did something concretely great as well3

Great result, and Chuks put the icing on the cake, so Bowyer Manager of the month
must be a given eh2 -
Give Bowyer the tools and he’ll get the job done. We go marching on15

Charlton win
Scum lose

A perfect set of results.
This season has all the makings of when we went up under Powell.

I’m running out of superlatives.Maatsen is playing like an experienced Championship player.Pratley is holding it all together.Incredible team performance again.Well done to the back room boys and the players.22

Carry on like this it won't be long until we are top. Will football be locked down next month ? That would be just our luck.0

Solid performance and great result
Still don't think we have fully clicked yet or played a great 90 minutes which is superb because when we have our full, fit side and they know each other better we'll be even more difficult to beat.
Brilliant result.7 - Sponsored links:

I knew Gunter would sail through at centre half. Watched him play there for Wales and he looked his usual non flustered self.
I reckon you could stick this fella up front and he would do a decent job!11 -
Awesome defensively. Fantastic all round team performance. Only negative Famewo’s injury. Felt for Bogle, no real service and as soon as Chuks is on he buries a superb cross !! Not going to single any player out for praise as all of them were immense. What an afternoon. Thanks lads.2

Three points off top with a game in hand not good enough to go up under PPG☹️
On paper and form this was one of our hardest games since the takeover so a great result.
On to Fleetwood6 -
Best performance of the season. Never gave Pompei an inch. From 1 to 11 they were superb. Matthews slotted in like he’d never been away. Bogle showed what he’s all about. Tic-tacos spot on. Their fans must dread playing us. Onwards and upwards. The future’s bright, the future’s Red and White #UpTheAddicks4

Injuries aside, it's great being a Charlton fan at the moment.
Feel like Bows is starting to find some of his pre last season injury crisis mojo - being brave to make attacking subs and not sit back deep.
Once again can't pick out an outstanding player today as they all gave 110%.
Shinnie is absolute mustard though. Who is keeping him out the Luton team?9 -
Pratley has been a new player these last two games, playing as the sweeper/pivot4

Can someone wake me up please and tell me it is a dream. I am dreaming that we have a lovely new owner in Thoams Sandgaard, signed a decent set of players, won 5 games on a trot, 6 clean sheets, watching Jeff Stellng on Sky Sports saying "Charlton have the best defensive record in the league and won 8 out of 9 times down at Pompey and we are 3 points of top with a game in hand.33

To finish the game with another clean sheet and not a single CB on the pitch is brilliant. Everybody played well. We never really looked like conceding. The only times they did trouble us, they had to play an absolutely superb pass to get through. Six clean sheets in a row... Just wow.
Attack is starting to link up well and you can see the potential. Two really well-worked team goals tonight.
We're winning games and I still don't feel like we've even hit our stride.15 -
What is this cheery feeling on a Saturday evening?
It's ONLY the Lee Bowyer super soar away Addicks show!2 -
