I emailed the club to say that for health reasons I wouldn't attend, and could they put any tickets allocated to me back into the draw so that someone who can go gets allocated instead? This is what's now happened; not required to produce any proof of ill-healt, just told that I'd need to let them know if at some future point I did want to be included in the draws.I wish I could go, but it wouldn't be sensible: I want to be around to watch the matches next season.It would be nice of course if they had 2000 ST holders who were neither in Tier 3 nor clinically vulnerable so those people could go and the rest of us just get refunds towards next season, which would be nice and easy for them to administrate. Hats off to them though for sorting this out very quickly.6

If fans are being asked to arrive 90 minutes before kickoff, and then stay around after the game, it's a lot more convenient and pleasant to do that for a 3pm kickoff than an evening game, especially in winter, and far less disruptive for most people in terms of work etcJohnnyH2 said:Why are people trying to pick and choose their games. You will be required to bring photographic ID to the game.
Facemasks must be worn at all times. Supporters who have an exemption for wearing a facemask should get in touch with the club by emailing tickets@cafc.co.uk to get a facemask exemption lanyard for the game.

I have not yet received a reply. I did phone the club to opt out in the end. Never the less no e-mail. I was shocked by the club's initial response as it flies in the face of all government advice at this time.
Therefore, as you can't get a shielding letter you are saying the club are saying you have to go to the match.
You are suggesting the club are forcing you to attend by presumably forcibly removing you from your abode and taking you to The Valley.
Perhaps, it would be a good idea to check what you write before posting.

It told me to produce evidence to opt out which considering the circumstances we are in , is unfair.

Just said on SSN clubs can serve food n drinks and you have to consume at your seat. Don’t have to wear a mask during the game only to exit/enter0
