With the Christmas relaxation of the rules I'd expect Boxing Day to be Tier 3 folks only.  That would be fair, but if I were Charlton I'd insist on them all wearing full HazMat suits.

I queried my position very early on Fridsy. I got a reply on Saturday early saying I would  have to go if chosen or produce a shielding letter which I have never received. Many people  who perhaps should  have didn't. 
However I lodged a claim that even without underlying conditions 70 plus are more vulnerable to Covid .

I have not yet received a reply.  I did phone the club to opt out in the end. Never the less no e-mail.  I was shocked by the club's initial response as it flies in the face of all government  advice at this time.

Well you are most certainly wrong. The e-mail I was sent said that I had to produce a letter of shielding to opt out . What is it with you that can't  believe that. I have no reason to lie about that.  

He was highlighting your assertion that you would have to go or produce a shielding letter.
Therefore, as you can't get a shielding letter you are saying the club are saying you have to go to the match.
You are suggesting the club are forcing you to attend by presumably forcibly removing you from your abode and taking you to The Valley.

Perhaps, it would be a good idea to check what you write before posting.
Just a suggestion.

I had a choice.. go or not. If not I would  lose my CAFC money and  have to pay directly further  £10 to stream the game. If I informed club non attendance they had the right to sell the ticket but not on my behalf.  If I didn't bother to tell them I would  be assumed to have printed it off.

It told me to produce evidence to opt out which considering the circumstances we are in , is unfair.

Look,  thatvwas always the case.  I haven't corrected anything.  The club told me to opt out I needed a doctor's letter. Not everyone liable to such a notification got one.  I didn't  but should have.  Your failure  to understand  is not helpful.  Please check back as I have said before,  the e-mail asked for a sick note or be in the draw.  That was not an option in the circumstances.  The choice was it apparently go or lose out. That is not a choice in my circumstances.  If you had that choice , would you take it given what Covid is capable of.  And I really  don't  want to miss on seeing my grand children growing  up because  of a few football matches.
