    I’m in!

Questions (which possibly no one here knows the answer to):

    - Because I didn’t get drawn in either of the ballots am I still in the priority group for the Wimbledon match on the 12th or have I squandered that privilege?

    - my ticket says 6:45 entry, if I don’t make it until 7pm will I be refused entry?
Logically I would have thought that ALL supporters at tomorrow's game would be lower down the priority list for Wimbledon

I understand that we have an obligation to get there early and in phased groupings, but I can't see the time being a set deadline. No way am I arriving well BEFORE my time slot of 6pm just in case I'm a little bit late
  • Managed to get mine, can't wait!

Their was only one ballot, this statement by the club suggests they are open to ideas for forthcoming home games.

We are looking at our processes and procedures around ticketing ahead of the December 12th game against AFC Wimbledon and would welcome the feedback and views from supporters to help influence our thinking. If supporters have any thoughts, please contact the ticket office from Thursday by emailing tickets@cafc.co.uk.

Mum thinking is either those who weren’t in the first ballot yesterday will get the first ballot priority for the next game, OR

given how many were left from the first ballot this time, they may tweak the process again

I'd like to think the former is the case although the next 2 home games fall on Sat 12th & Tues 15th December so the club may deal with allocation/ballot for both at the same time....

They should forget the Ballot and just do first come first serve basis for season ticket holders, give a time and date well in advance. The people who really want to go will get a ticket that way. Any left over can go on general sale.

It will also stop 10 year olds getting tickets and their parents not getting one

The club has said there will be a ballot in place and those that weren’t successful in the first ballot will get priority for the second one.

That there are tickets left is not the fault of those that  were unsuccessful. Therefore they should get priority in the AFC ballot and if there is less than 2000 those that ‘won’ the MK Dons ballot can then go for what are left on a first come first served basis like the Ballot losers have had to this time.

It would not be fair to change the rules. If the club has had a 100% take up the ballot losers would have not had a look in.

It’s the luck of the draw if the first game had been a Saturday you may have gotten more people taking up their tickets.

Then if they decide they want to amend from a ballot to another scheme they can implement from Bristol Rovers game and use this to cover that and Plymouth. The tiers are being reviewed after Plymouth so tier 3 maybe able to attend then.

Whatever the club decides it won’t suit everyone but I feel they should honour their original commitment to the fans.

    Not me.
In the original story on the website it states that "Season ticket holders who are unsuccessful will also receive an email".
In the absence of said email should we worry that maybe for some administrative oversight (no criticism of anybody meant) we were not included in the ballot?

At least there is more time for the club to organise things before the next match, but once tier 3 fans are eligible for entry the original ballot idea may work & all tickets are taken after the first ballot.
It seems strange that people buy a season ticket for 23 matches, but now seem to want to pick what match & what day they wish to attend.
Also the cost to club for organising this process must be quite substantial.
Whilst checking the number of remaining tickets on the website this morning it is evident that people obviously go for the prime position seats in East & West stands, so those who have bought season tickets in the covered end are getting quite a good deal out of this whilst the club are refunding unlucky people in the ballot who may have bought the more expensive seats.

There's a hell of a lot of us seem to have 6pm arrival!  Only other time I saw was 6:45 - any different slots people know of or are there only two entry times and we going to be in a 3-400 person queue per stand at 6pm?

Got my ticket at half 2 when it opened, parents based down in Gravesend so aren't allowed to join me though

  • Looks like it's a sellout then as MK Don's sold their 500 within two hours of going on sale.

You might want to call/email to make sure your details are correct on their system.

They said that, but the latest messaging seems to suggest something different will be in place for the Wimbledon game

They won’t even check your arrival time; it’s more of a devise to stop everyone arriving at the last minute, creating long queues.
