If these odds are listing serious candidates then Michael Laudrup would be the one for me. 100% chance of it ending in tears, but every management choice eventually does, he's one where it could feasibly end in tears in the Premier League. He's had a little bit of time out of the game now but he plays sophisticated football and his transfers have typically been pretty good

Do we know whether Lee Bowyer is now manager at Birmingham?
I am not in the know at Charlton.
But I am slightly In the know at Portsmouth due to a friend being a board member for a number of years including the years of their Premiership stay.
He has just contacted me asking my opinion on Lee Bowyer.
He said that he has heard that the Portsmouth managerial post is close to being decided. The 2 front runners are Danny Cowley and Lee Bowyer.
Bowyer seems to be everywhere.

Laudrup is almost certainly only mentioned because he's Danish, but he honestly would not be a terrible choice.
The football he likes seems to be what Sandgaard looks for, he's got a decent record and he seems to be the right balance of a big enough name to make a statement but not to the point he's going to be a L1 Bielsa on more money than the next three coaches put together.
I really sincerely doubt he's even in the equation but would not mind being wrong.1 -

Of the others I like the look of Michael Beale's CV and he seems to be making a bid for the job on twitter . With a background at Chelsea and Liverpool he should be able to get decent loans . However , similar to Johnnie Jackson he would probably need an experienced number 2 . I remember that Mike Bailey had Benny Fenton the ex Millwall boss in the 1980/81 promotion season as his number 2 . I am sure that Benny had a key role in our success and Bailey's development . Is there a similar former manager who would similarly be happy to be an Assistant to an up and coming coach?
Eddie Howe and Chris Wilder are unrealistic but I wouldn't rule out Kenny Jackett . It hasn't worked out for him at Portsmouth but he did take Swansea , Millwall and Wolves up from this level and Pompey have regularly made the playoffs . The ex Millwall tag doesn't bother me . What has happened in football that supporters don't accept managers and players with connections with rival clubs ? You can't get any more archetypal Millwall than Harry Cripps . Arry Boy was loved by our fans and played a crucial role in our 1974/75 promotion team . Also remember that SCP was a Palace player .
Of the others I am unconvinced about Cowleys and want to rule out the likes of Pulis .0 -

Fair challenge . Jackett seems to be a L1 promotion expert . I rated him highly at Millwall and felt he deserved a bigger job which he got with Wolves . I think given the right backing he could take us up to and become competitive in the Championship .Cafc43v3r said:

Pulis is a manager who operates at a higher level and I doubt that he has the desire needed to dip into L1 . I would put Monk in the same boat .1 -
