Of the others I like the look of Michael Beale's CV and he seems to be making a bid for the job on twitter . With a background at Chelsea and Liverpool he should be able to get decent loans . However , similar to Johnnie Jackson he would probably need an experienced number 2 . I remember that Mike Bailey had Benny Fenton the ex Millwall boss in the 1980/81 promotion season as his number 2 . I am sure that Benny had a key role in our success and Bailey's development . Is there a similar former manager who would similarly be happy to be an Assistant to an up and coming coach?
Eddie Howe and Chris Wilder are unrealistic but I wouldn't rule out Kenny Jackett . It hasn't worked out for him at Portsmouth but he did take Swansea , Millwall and Wolves up from this level and Pompey have regularly made the playoffs . The ex Millwall tag doesn't bother me . What has happened in football that supporters don't accept managers and players with connections with rival clubs ? You can't get any more archetypal Millwall than Harry Cripps . Arry Boy was loved by our fans and played a crucial role in our 1974/75 promotion team . Also remember that SCP was a Palace player .
Of the others I am unconvinced about Cowleys and want to rule out the likes of Pulis .
Pulis is a manager who operates at a higher level and I doubt that he has the desire needed to dip into L1 . I would put Monk in the same boat .0 -

Just find this attitude a bit off, Curbs gave a pretty compelling reason for him to get it. The only ‘decision’ on the playing side we’ve seen from Thomas is the signing of Ronnie S. A Danish coach may well be a good choice. Sounds like Thomas is already speaking to someone. Hopefully he takes plenty of advice before appointing.1
