Been checking for a good slot to book my 1st all day, the only ones local enough to me weren't on days and times that suited. Got to keep looking until more slots open up.
Booked my wife's 1st in for Tuesday. My parents have recently had their second and my father in law's 2nd is next week.
On a side note , stewpot from Grange Hill was doing security (separate to Vaccine stuff) at the hospital ….. I knew I recognised him , he pointed me in the direction of the vaccines

My 36 week pregnant daughter had her first vaccine last week. After seeking advice felt pros outweighed the cons. No reaction to it. Her husband works in health care so already double vaccinated.
BBC reporting that there were 762,361 first or second jabs on Saturday. By any standard that is remarkable. We get a lot of things wrong in our country but this vaccine programme is magnificent.
Under 30s expected to be offered vaccine by the end of the week.
Still can’t book mine, nothing at a reasonable location. Am assuming new slots will appear during the week and it just wasn’t being refreshed for certain places over the weekend.
I have my vaccine today. Think I will get a gym session in before hand in case feel sore for a few days. Being 37, it appears that I should expect to be having Pfizer.

If it's Pfizer i think you'll feel fine. Seems to be less after effects for that vaccine.

Or Moderna.
I felt a little lethargic the day after mine, still managed to motivate myself enough to play cricket and get my bowling smashed around the park.

As each vaccine site gets notified of a delivery the available slots are added to the online booking service. Basically, try every half hour until somewhere suitable pops up.
Currently queuing up for it. Double system seems to be operating. Pfizers queuing outside in a proper downpour. Old gits for the AZ like me escorted inside via the VIP lane.
Pfizer vaccine had....sad to leave the clinic after my 15 minute wait. It's the buzziest place I've been to in some time! Well done to the staff, setup and Gill Bates.
Had my second AZ on Saturday, no after effects but did feel really lethargic on Sunday, had to drag myself round on the dogs evening walk. Back to normal today.

There's little point discussing it, even though it's so disappointing.

Myself, wife, mum, brother and sister in law plus a few neighbours all live in the Orpington area and have had ours done local.
The BBC would say they aren't magnetic because they support misinformation and censorship - apparently!
