What I think actually happened is that South Eastern Trains runs an annual competition amongst its staff to invent new excuses, and "Derailment at the Depot" is the 2021 winner.
Expect to see plenty of variations on this theme in the future - points failure at the depot, failed train at the depot, chicken on the track at the depot, etc. Tossers.14 -

was great during the lockdown , no cancellations or disruptions, now they have some customers its back to the shitfest as before .

Do you Southeastern victims have any issues with your tickets failing to open the barriers at stations?
Pre-covid I regularly travelled up from Dorset on South Western Railways either to Charlton or to visit my Mum in Bexleyheath.
I would estimate that on at least 50% of journeys my ticket would fail to open the barrier, often at Waterloo, but most frequently the barrier linking Waterloo to Waterloo East.
Happened a couple of times at Bexleyheath too.0 -
If you get them near anything magnetic, it wipes the data off the strip. Yep, heavily disrupted journey this morning for thousands of people that have paid a fortune in the hope that they might occasionally get to work on time, but massive round of applause for providing a satisfactory service in the middle of the day when hardly anyone's around to see it.
