To me the squad looks unbalanced, with too many central midfielders. If we hadn't signed Clare and Dobson, then Arter would have made a lot of sense, but as it is we seem over provided there now, when we have only 1 (injured) LB and NO decent U23s to bring in either.

Best deadline day in ages. Yes we left it late, (As TS said we would with a couple), but all in all I think this was a pretty good window. Hope we can somehow end up with another Left Back because that hole is still very glaring, but I am very happy with the business we've done. Don't really think we were fishing in the bargain barrel for any of these either. Money spent, which is good news

Only listened on the radio but sounded like Crawley were awful down the flank CBT was playing and he could waltz through their defence at will. Need to see him do it against a decent league one defence.soapboxsam said:king addick said:

"Adults" on here need to have a good look at themselves. Squad is looking decent and a chance for a free transfer or 2 if need be.
Righting off CBT and co makes me wonder why people even bother supporting the team
Ok it was a League 2 defence, but for 60 minutes CBT was excellent tonight, as a winger or running inside. His goal was bizarre but he still scored.
If we can just have some luck with players not constantly getting injured we may have a chance of some consistency.
I didn't think we were ever going to replace Aneke but I guess we are hoping that our 4 wingers plus Lee will score goals.0 -

Very happy with attacking players of the quality of Lee & Leko coming in. Pleasantly suprised about the Morecambe CB too (glad we've learnt from last season not to take risks in important positions where we have injury prone players).
Another Left back is less critical. Purrington is solid, back in training & will be fit for our next game against Cheltenham in circa two weeks (so not bringing in another really is not the end of the world).
Definitely feeling more optimistic than I did after the Wigan match a couple of weeks back.
Up the addicks!

Plus Watson, Davison and Schwartz. I don't think we'll run away with the league but it looks reasonably strong. There is an obvious weakness but I doubt many League 1 sides can genuinely say they don't have a position or two that looks weak.
