They say you can’t polish a turd. But, my god the turd that Adkins put together, has been taken and polished into some really special. A absolute fantastic team performance, are these really the same players, who were “not fit to wear the shirt” only a few weeks back.1

It’s a tricky one - my late Dad took first took me in 1976 - but whilst I loved Hales, Powell, Peacock etc etc - Paul Walsh was the first player I identified with, because he was young (as in nearer my age), short (like me), fast (I was - not now !!) skills, goals - I cut out photos of him from the programmes and pinned them to my bedroom wall - and then he was gone - just like that, gone - yes the Valley was a dump, but it was my dump, but the bit of glamour that it had, was gone - when you are 12 these are the things that matter if you are a football fanAFKABartram said:

And today I read the news article someone posted about his struggles with the booze, and his apologies to people

I never ever get it when watching games, but seeing dressing room clips like this makes me miss playing / managing football so much. There are very few better places than the dressing room when things are going well and you’ve a tight group of lads.Dazzler21 said:7 -

Hopefully it's been handed in to reception, so if you give them a call tomorrow they'd be able to check for you. If you put the cream on first it goes all over the place when you try to spread the jam which tends to be firmer and needs more pressure to spread it.
Cornish people do it the correct way, jam on first allowing for pressure to spread it followed by the cream which is softer.
