Dont get me wrong, there were moments from Morgan which werent good enough (that moment at CDM where he almost let them through on half way, was horrendous) - But still feel his display today was better than anything we've seen from half our midfield (this calendar year).

We can talk about finding a Midfielder that'll create chances, but to do that, we also need other players to actually try and move, and pull the opposition around - Too often our forward players give us a decent rendition of musical statutes.

Perhaps focus on the players who couldnt be bothered today?

As I've said, once again, the focus turns to Albie Morgan rather than anyone else in the team who wasnt good enough today - Its almost as though he's an Academy player, he cant receive ANY positive comments after a performance.

Have a look at the post-match comments, how many posts are exclusively about Morgan? 

Yet again claiming an agenda when there is none. He's a bad player in a sea of bad players.

it’s mental. People have made their mind up and nothing will change that.

I just find it a little frustrating and apologies to anyone if that does occasionally boil over - e.g. Today not one of the Lee or Gilbey threads have been resurrected, yet with Albie its straight to talking about how he isnt good enough for L1

Yet only Albie gets his own separate thread to constantly talk about his faults - As I've said myself, he doesnt show enough consistency to be worthy of a permanent place within the team - But then the likes of you cant even give credit, where credit is due after a performance like today.

It was bumped because someone played well. It wouldn't have been bumped otherwise. 

He's been given tonnes of 7s on the player marks even though no one deserves over a 6 for that performance. He gets overrated. 

'Performances like today' = One of the worst Charlton performances I've ever seen, where Morgan running about a bit but creating nothing is worth shouting about according to you. We had zero control over the midfield and he is supposed to be a major part of that.

Agreed, one swallow doesn’t make a summer. He needs to produce that level of performance week in week out if given another run in the team, otherwise it’s time for him to move on. In that regard if he was being scouted today he won’t have done his chances any harm.

At least that performance imo. Something Lee has gotten away with for weeks. Gilbey too. 

I think Albie should be a bare minimum 20-30 mins a game substitute as his peers aren't any better at the moment and seem to burn out with at least 30 mins to play.

I agree, but if he's not given that opportunity, how will we ever know. Let him earn his next chance each week, like every other play should.

But we want to be above this level no? 

Currently he is a League Two level player because of his lack of disclipine and intelligence when on the pitch. We shouldn't be wanting to give him opportunities when we want to be higher up the division and challenging for promotion. 

Give him a loan out and get a player in that shows more promise than a Lower League One ceiling.

Well he was a regular in our promotion winning sides end of season run in this league. Played 20 odd games in the Championship too. 

Personally I think he will find his progression occurs at another club.

Be curious to see how he does if he drops to League Two on a permanent deal

Neither Lapslie or Wiredu overly impressed when given opportunities with the First Team (Although their chances were even more fleeting than Albie's), yet since they've left, there have been questions as to why they were let go.
