Oh, give Conor a new contract. He scores goals at this level, he's showing that. And his presence makes all the difference in the world with his intelligent running and hard work. It's no coincidence that we play better when he plays.55

And that’s why we need our captain on the pitch. Nothing wrong with innis and Famewo, they even both scored, but as our two main defenders they are a liability. Pearce needs to be there to tell people what to do0

3 points and that's pretty much all there is to say about it.0

Bet Dad taught the kiddywinks a few new words too, watching our defending today.A win is a win but far from a perfect performance. A couple of quality set pieces from Morgan, plus a fantastic pass by DJ were the difference in the end.3 on the spin and momentum building again.
Thanks Charlton!

We showed that we CAN score from corners. So that should hopefully put that one to bed for a while.
We showed that we CAN win after conceding the first goal. So now we can put the ridiculous "G***ie" saying out of it's misery once and for all.17 -
The defending set pieces was comically bad at times, but thankfully AFC Wimbledons was equally, if not more, shite at it than us.
Special mention to DJ, a right footed right winger playing left wing back for most of the game, and actually looked pretty decent doing so14 -
Really moving tribute to Ben Jay. Well done all.
Strange game. At our best we looked far too good for Wimbledon, but we never managed to play at that level for very long and we looked decidedly dodgy for their goals. But even when we were behind, a win still felt likely. Jaiyesimi and Washington were the pick of the bunch for me. Were my ears deceiving me or did Burstow get booed when he came on? WTF.
Finally, it looked at one point it looked like Tracey Leaburn was going to to the tunnel jump. Think it wouldn't have been appropriate today. But I'd like to see it one day.5 -

‘Aneke: 5.5 didn't happen for him today, and he screwed up royally for their second goal ‘
It was Clare not Aneke. Clare was blocked.‘Washington: 7.5 HE FINISHED A ONE ON ONE’
You've forgotten the game where he chipped the keeper (nice finish).2 -

Thought we were pretty awful but we won. Mc Givilray had an off day and defensively we looked shaky.2

We won. If we defend like that at Bolton or Wigan we will get our arses handed to us.Hope Chuck's was just taken off to make sure he is ready for Tuesday as without him we looked powderpuff up front. He wasn't brilliant, but he scares the shit out of defenders.Shout out to DJ who I thought was excellent playing on the wrong side (for him).I do think the wind contributed to the poor defending. In the first half especially Famewo and Innis got completely caught out by long balls which seem to take off.2

Am still flying over the pacific and was able to watch the match all but the last 5 minutes. Incredible this technology. All wins are great wins but I was looking forward to seeing the new boy start in midfield. Shame Alby was sacrificed as I thought he was playing well but understandably new boy had to tip his toe in the water. Can’t say I saw much from the camera view and I’d like to know whether there were any glimpses that he will be a good addition?1

Entertaining game but dire defending from both teams.
We are so vulnerable to a big punt over the top.1 -

You've forgotten the game where he chipped the keeper (nice finish). The main problem seemed to be that Innis was marking no one - which I know we’ve been doing recently to just leave him to go attack the ball - a job Stockley usually has. They bypasses Innis though and chaos ensued from there.0 -
We won3

Burstow getting a very mixed reaction clearly a lot of boos ….0

Conceding twice in 90 mins at home under Jacko is uncharacteristic (see stat below) and against better opposition we would’ve paid for it. Thankfully Wimbledon are equally poor at set piece defending so it evened out this afternoon.
(Stat: prior to today, we had only conceded twice in eight league matches at the Valley. Once against Rotherham and once against Wycombe.)2 -
3rd win in a row. Up to 11th and heading in the right direction.
That was our poorest performance of the three but we take it and move on.Let’s start by giving DJ some huge credit for the pass of the season so far! What a through ball.
We looked lost after Aneke went off which shows how important he is for us.
Great to see Albie get a couple of assists to his name. He should be really growing in confidence with that final product starting to come.
We MUST look at and work on our set piece defending for Tuesday but I trust our coaches that we will.
Let’s keep winning and see where it takes us!3 -
Just got in after dinner and straight to the match thread.Great result. Thanks to all the contributors.0

Another 7 in a row for a playoff spot.2

Is that a Golfie or a Bristol Rovers?0

Can't be totally awful and score 3 goals..sorry but awful is an over reaction. Defence needs shoring up definitely and we can play better but we weren't awful.
Good win and good showing of mental character to keep the lead when under pressure. Thought Morgan played well but should have got a shot away before he went off. Wash ran his bollocks off and was rewarded with a tidy finish after a truly amazing ball by DJ.
As I say, need to work on things but for me, solid win and a great showing of togetherness in this team.15 -
Scruffy in places, the morons who boo’ed Burstow need a kick up the backside! Will take a win like that all day long.24

Love a Golfie!
We are such a strange team at times. We should have had that game sewn up by halftime. Some of our play is excellent, yet we can’t seem to get through a game without some form of defensive frailty. Yet on the other hand for much of the play I thought our defensive players were excellent.
Big shout for Jayesemi, thought he was excellent today in an unfamiliar position12
