League One strugglers Morecambe have reappointed Derek Adams as manager, less than nine months after he left the club to join Bradford City. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60506755
I'm sure there must be a high correlation between "3 managers in a season" and relegation. We've done it twice for a start - Dowie, Reed, Pardew and Luzon, Fraeye, Riga.
Conte is ready to walk away from Tottenham apparently
Let's hope that happens and the "three manager curse" strikes the Spuds. Relegation this year would be a tough ask but I'll accept it happening next year.
Never considered Conté to be a quitter .. turns out he might have a lot in common with the WW2 Italian army tanks .. 4 reverse gears and 1 forward in case they were attacked from the rear
Couldn't have a manager who had to speak through an interpreter. We have enough problems with players trying to understand what Jackskn's trying to do, let alone 2nd hand through someone else.
Bielsa was being paid a reported 8 Million a year at Leeds .. when I saw them play us at the Valley 2/3 years back, he spent all his time sitting on his blue bucket like a Latin Buddha while his many assistants shouted instructions to the players .. there were four of them all pointing and gesticulating in different directions, that could be why they lost .. Gallagher's first goal for us as well if I recall

Your aware he speaks English to the players right?
I mean this may be a whoosh but it is a very common misconception around that he can't speak English, he speaks decent English.
The interpreter is there for interviews as English is not his first language and he knows what the English press is like and he doesn't want anything he says turned around against him, so he prefers to speak in his own language with the use of the interpreter.
I actually find that's a clever way of doing it, press can't miss quote you then.

I wasn't aware of that. It might make sense but I still think if he's English is good enough for the players then urs good enough for the press. We have many foreign coaches & I dont know many who are misquoted or misunderstood.

I have only seen him speak in Spanish EVER. He has 3 or 4 smurfs who Convey his orders in English . When he actually speaks any English I will change my view but not on what is heresy, or rather in this case not even hearsay as it were.
Could say the same about you. You seem to be hinting you speak/understand English but there’s been little evidence of that…

Well whatever language he speaks, these three individuals, who have been major players in his team's successful times and who have all been out injured during this run of defeats, seem to have understood what he did for them as evidenced by the fact that they all became internationals during his time at the club:

A mixture between Bonne and Lockyer. Gallagher had nothing to do with it and had already scored a number of goals before the end of September.
He has always said when asked the question he wants to make sure he gets things completely correct and not misunderstood or not know the exact translation. He always gives extremely thorough answers in his press conferences and didn’t wish to change so preferred to speak in his native tongue.
My dad is a Leeds supporter, as I’ve mentioned on here before, so I have an added interest into Leeds and their ongoings.
A wonderful manager who was never going to move away from his principles and why should he? If plan A is not working, you don’t have a plan B, you improve plan A. It’s that unwavering belief that has got him the success he has had so why deviate now? His time at Leeds should never have ended in this way and missing key players like Phillips and Bamford for the amount of time they have this season has played just as much, if not a bigger, part to their downfall as to their lack of recruitment on the senior level. Leeds focused so much in the summer on young talent to develop but potentially not enough on the ready made type they could’ve have needed that bit more.
The grass is not always greener… and a change of manager with such different ideas might not work out.

you're right, I am getting my games mixed up, Gallagher scored much earlier against Stoke .. incidentally, I have just read that Connor had 'minor heart surgery' in 2018

Just looking at the Leeds team we beat at home back in Sept 2019 .. a lot who played are still first teamers, when they're fit .. shows a lack of investment ? and like us, injury problems
Whoever gets the Leeds job will need luck to stay up and a bit to spend in the summer

Agreed, it's been impressive the way he's kept faith with the British "journeyman" players like Ayling, Dallas and improved the likes of Bamford and Phillips, but their squad isn't great.
Looks like it's going to be Jesse Marsch replacing Bielsa , an American coach out of the Red Bull system . Failed at Leipzig after replacing Julian Nagelsmann, and a big task to keep this Leeds side up with a fairly large style change.
Do wonder how much the 49ers ownership that part own Leeds have had their hand in all this.

All but one of his playing season were at the top flight, ditto his club management career has all been in the PL.
A longish term project too, seeing that it's almost certainly too late for a promotion push this season

When's Bowyer returning to take Charlton over again

I'd take him!
Sad news, but his refusal to change his style was getting ridiculous.

They've shipped a lot of goals last season and this, their fans must worry that they have to score at least two to get a draw at best.
