Steve Bruce is working his magic at West brom since taking over. 1 point and 1 goal from 5 games and has taken them from 6th to 13th. Bottom of the championship form table since he took over.
How do these managers keep getting jobs?0 -
He did say he'd get WBA out this division but didn't mention in what direction.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Steve Bruce is working his magic at West brom since taking over. 1 point and 1 goal from 5 games and has taken them from 6th to 13th. Bottom of the championship form table since he took over.

Such an unimaginative appointment, the type I always hope we avoid making when we’re changing manager.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Steve Bruce is working his magic at West brom since taking over. 1 point and 1 goal from 5 games and has taken them from 6th to 13th. West Brom are all over the place with their managerial appointments, reacting against the failings of the previous one, rather than settling on a style of football they want to play.Scoham said:

When Bruce is sacked they'll swing the other way, either going for a young British coach (someone who's made his name in an academy at a Big 6 club) or an "exciting" continental coach0 -
They had one of those. And made the massive mistake of replacing him. They even sacked Bilic the day after WBA earned a draw at Man City!killerandflash said:

Bilic has a career win percentage of 45.56 whereas Bruce, in 12 stints as a manager, has only surpassed that at the one club - Palace, when he walked out after just 18 games to take the Birmingham job. Bilic's sides tend to try and play football too and wouldn't have failed to score in 9 of their last 13 matches.1 -
They're looking to complete the set on journeyman English managers bingo.
They've had Pearson, Hodgson, Megson, Allardyce, Pardew, Pulis and now Bruce.
Only Moyes and Hughes to go before they win £142 and two bottles of Lambrini for the table.16 -
Surely Warnock should be included? Maybe one last job like his last jobs at QPR, Palace , Boro, Cardiff......1

Because owners and chairman are desperate for success. Football management is a circusChris_from_Sidcup said:Steve Bruce is working his magic at West brom since taking over. 1 point and 1 goal from 5 games and has taken them from 6th to 13th. Paul Tisdale has been sacked by Stevenage... Unsurprisingly he's been replaced by Steve Evans.0

Tisdale is too much of a lightweight. Needs a heavyweight for a job like Evans to keep Stevenage up.ForeverAddickted said:Paul Tisdale has been sacked by Stevenage... Unsurprisingly he's been replaced by Steve Evans.1 -

Barrow have parted company with manager Mark Cooper after less than a season in charge at the League Two club.

Pretty much a full house of sackings at the bottom of L2 in recent weeks!0
-
On the subject of the bottom of league 2, what on earth has happened at Scunthorpe?
Made the league one play offs in 16-17 and 17-18, went down the following season and now 2 years later they're heading to the national league. That's a plummet that even outshines us.0 -
Barrow have appointed former Hull City boss Phil Brown as manager on a deal until the end of the season to succeed Mark Cooper.

Maybe he'll emulate what he did at Southend and take them out the league.
They were six points from safety with six games to go and got relegated with one game to spare.0 -
AFC Wimbledon boss leaves "by mutual consent".
Just in time for the game against us next week.
I wonder if Jason Euell will be interested. Think he applied last time and didn't get it.

They clearly were desperate for him to succeed, but something had to happen after the dismal runHenry Irving said:AFC Wimbledon boss leaves "by mutual consent".
