Yeah Sykes would be a coup, both under contract though so would command fees. I’ve really rated Nottingham every time we have played him, especially if we are playing 3 at the back he’s perfect for the central role imo. I imagine both you could get with the right amount, Accrington are a club that can’t refuse reasonable transfer feesCallumcafc said:

Not disputing that. What cannot be argued with is the seasons were a mess and that season in particular the Manager did not like the lack of control he had over recruitment.Dazzler21 said:

As long as it was a 2 year deal I’d have no issue. Just do what it takes to get us out of the league and he is certainly good enough and reliable enough in terms of playing enough games.ricky_otto said:

There's part of me that thinks we could do worse than let this forum head up the recruitment process, or at least contribute to it :-) or ;-)
We could certainly do with a player like Ricky Holmes in midfield. He arguably gets overlooked when talking about very good ex Charlton players, perhaps because of the way he left us? Creative, quite quick, direct, with a great shot, plenty of goals, good on free kicks and corners.
I wonder when the first transfer incoming announcement will be made? If they've genuinely been working on it behind the scenes for weeks you'd hope it would be quite soon. I'm guessing Friday 20th May? I always enjoy a transfer window.0 -
