Surely Watters is just another player who had a purple patch in L2.
May and Stockton have done it in L1 already.0 -

Cardiff recalled him from loan after just six months, do you think they would sell him at a price we could afford?Bournesnr said:I’d like to see us make a move for
Max Watters rather than Stockton or May
He would be a very good signing.
Cardiff City have come to an agreement to sell striker Max Watters to Lincoln City for an undisclosed fee.

I’d be very happy if we bring in a quality left back this summer, even if it means waiting more than a week.killerandflash said:I'd be very disappointed if next Saturday Mandela is still having to play on the wrong side because we still have no left back.2 -
Cadden and Stockton would do for me.Mendonca In Asdas said:2 more in by the close of play next Sunday I reckon.4 -
Seen him play wide a few times, maybe that explains the goal ratio?addick1956 said:My own opinion is that May has one good season. Otherwise not double figures and often not near 9 even.2 -
Consensus goes against my view on May which is more than understandable. The whole resale value is the model they’re going for and it makes total sense. That said, a general rule of business is the correlation between risk and reward, surely we can afford to take one risk, and if he’s got 20 plus in him one more time it might be all we need to get out this hell hole!0

He scored 5 goals in the premier league last season, I doubt he’ll punish himself to the point of dropping down two leagues._MrDick said:Random Facebook rumour: Joshua King .. Discuss4 -
Might as well close this thread down. No one now is ITK & rumours are thinner than Bruce's hair piece. I think the only sort of rumour we've had with the 4 signings so far has been the cryptic clues regarding McGrandles.....and I don't even think the poster himself thought it was true.2

Highly rated, likely to go out on loan after signing a new deal.0 -

Joe Pigott? Only made 22 appearances for Ipswich last season. He's the kind of technical player you can imagine at the forefront of Garner's system. Likes it on the floor, brings others into play, can score goals too.
Were rumours Ipswich were willing to let him go.5 -

Too old, we need young, hungry players like Jordan CousinsChunes said:Joe Pigott? Only made 22 appearances for Ipswich last season. He's the kind of technical player you can imagine at the forefront of Garner's system. Likes it on the floor, brings others into play, can score goals too.

Everton signed Tchaikovsky yesterday to pull the strings in their defence, but why don't we ever sign players over a weekend. Who was the last and when? I'm getting nothing to add for rumours BTW.0
-
You can’t actually sign players over the weekend. All players are subject to clearance from the EFL/PL/International clearance, which can only be done during the working week. Any deal over the weekend must have been either completed a while ago (Tarkowski was done a few weeks ago) or announced before receiving the relevant clearances.swordfish said:Everton signed Tchaikovsky yesterday to pull the strings in their defence, but why don't we ever sign players over a weekend. Charlton don’t want to jump the gun, and that is fair enough. Just doing things properly and by the book.

You’d expect if we have put an offer on the table to Payne and show that we’re serious, he would join.
He’s from London, the most productive season of his career so far was with our current manager, we are a league above Swindon and he ought to have ambitions of proving himself at this league with a view of getting into the Championship.
For those of us that like stats, he’s played and scored the same amount of Southend and Swindon in all competitions. 88 appearances, 17 goals.
His best season in League One came with Bradford City, 9 goals in 39 games. Bradford finished bottom that season.
In a team that keeps the ball and ought to be creating lots of chances, with better players around him, he should join us with the expectation on himself to get close to double figures from midfield.26 -
He still got shortlisted for the Bradford City team of the decade, some familiar names in it as well.Sage said:You’d expect if we have put an offer on the table to Payne and show that we’re serious, he would join.

Payne and Reed were probably to the two most important players to the way Swindon played and the two that have been good in league 1 before. Probably the two roles we least need now. I know you can't sign the players in order of priority but I think there would have to be a significant out going before one of them came in.
As much as it would be good I really can't see us bringing in another senior midfielder.3
