    The only thing that could spoil this from being compelling viewing would be if McIlroy or Hovland were to go two or three shots clear of the other early on, especially with the pack another four shots plus behind. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

    Agreed but there is always a double/treble from nowhere on the cards as Cameron Squared and DJ showed yesterday. This won’t be over till it’s over. I think if either Rory or Viktor shoot 4 under they will win.

    Me too as I've got £20 ew on him at 10s.... though my old man always makes me put £20ew on Tommy Fleetwood and it's cost him a lot over the years but he looks to be starting to handle four rounds at a major better and I got 66/1 for him last week!

    Plus whatever happens I don't want a LIV golfer winning.

    Cant see anyone apart from 1 of the top 4 winning it. Would love Rory to do it but something just tells me he's due one of his dodgy rounds where he drives poorly & putts just dont drop.

    His putting is massively improved.
    Hovland's chipping usually his nemesis.
    Cam Smith won't play as badly again.

    One of those 3 for me.

    Don’t think Smith played that badly, just no way he could putt as well as second round. Think I heard he sank over 250 feet of putts in that round which was some tour record

    Tommy Fleetwood is as hot as a griddle at the moment - if the top of the leaderboard don’t start to pull away, he is coming up behind them like an express train

    Half way through the round & really no fireworks from anyone. Suits McIlroy as all he needs to do is keep out the bunkers & the gorse and he should win.

    Just think you’re in a situation like you are now, have a gamble. You won’t win it being conservative, the chasing pack is on you. Just seems weird.

    I’d imagine he is over the moon to be in contention bearing in mind his recent form, a year ago it would have been a given he’d be up there. Rory is looking so in control of his game at the moment, really sorted out the short game.
