Catering at the Valley

They need to have trained staff who know what they are doing. in the West Upper every game it is new staff who are totally untrained each time which slows the whole processes down. for example knowing where the hot drinks cups and in what order they are in would speed things up, just an example.0

Probably on minimum wage and a zero hours contract, you pay peanuts...................msomerton said:They need to have trained staff who know what they are doing. in the West Upper every game it is new staff who are totally untrained each time which slows the whole processes down. for example knowing where the hot drinks cups and in what order they are in would speed things up, just an example.0 -
Do we know when the club can take some of the catering back under their control ?
It would be good, for example, if the Upbeats' Bhaji Burgers could also be sold in the North Stand bar.5 -
I don't blame the staff - its the quality I have issues with. I get Stadium food is going to be more expensive - but I accept that if the quality is there. Just look at the OB Burger from the upbeats - 10/10 every time so it can be done

How come it is so crap when the responsibility for our catering is with sandwich maker Cojones?
I wish the single veggie option wasn’t based on onions personally as I don’t like them, but at least it’s available for those that do.0 -
we should start a campaign - as long as there are enough left for my stand as I am hooked!Blucher said:Do we know when the club can take some of the catering back under their control ?

Onions are fantastic. They improve everything.0

Bread and water.
Nobody in their right mind would invite me round for anything.
I think there might be some other people who are not keen on onions, but not Sean Clare who is cool because he is vegan.3 -
Saw this on Facebook.

I'll be amazed if this is on offer in the concourse areas.Scoham said:Saw this on Facebook.

Alcohol free Amstel and Strongbow?2

Don’t think there’s much chance of the Henri Favre 🍾 being necked at Charlton home games.0

I wonder what me, Mickey Herbert and Danny Fuckabout, would of had, whilst dicking around in the Covered End in 1978, the Negroamaro OR something from the Western Cape, like the Boatman's Drift Chenin Blanc?1

But probably the most logistically and commercially viable for the catering company (Mitie?).Vincenzo said:That has to be the worst beer line up imaginable.
All from one supplier (Heineken UK) under one supply contract with "safe" brands that customers recognise, and contracted across multiple sites that they operate. Mass catering has its compromises.
Even if they were willing to consider a more "attractive" portfolio of brands, it would be the case that any marginal gains in consumer sentiment and revenue would be far outweighed by logistical complexity and supply cost.
But I tend to agree, not the best...2 -

When it’s in my plastic glass I’ll believe it. Until then I’ll have a shite coffee at half time.Scoham said:

I’m sure you’re right about the commercial viability, but it seems strange that clubs who are much bigger than us, like Tottenham, can offer good beer and so can clubs much smaller than us, like Dulwich Hamlet.SporadicAddick said:

But I tend to agree, not the best...We are in the midst of the biggest local brewing boom for centuries in London, yet we bring in slop from Australia, Denmark and Yorkshire.
I guess it’s just easier to get it all from one company, especially if you don't care what you serve your customers as long as they pay.7
