Could be Roberto Di Matteo I guess, he won it at Chelsea as the interim manager after all.1
-
Hmmm, we went for a a guy who has Champions league experience and then went for lots of people at Swindon.
I like Tommy but I wish he would say less sometimes.

Well the proof of the pudding is in the eating and the first bite comes on Saturday.
Reading that interview it comes over as an American PR exercise and other owners have made similar promises since 2007. I also dont like the way he disassociates himself from the ticketing fiasco of last season "our staff", he must have signed off the initiatives. Hopefully, it will all come together up in Accrington!3 -
‘You cannot just turn around decades of mismanagement and get two quick promotions to the Premier League’ says the man who stated we would be in the PL within 5 years when he joined 2 yrs ago!25

Genuinely misread title as Tits in The Sun Today 🤦🏻♂️11

Well if you read what he says, the manager wasn't available at the time for other reasons but was interested.charltonkeston said:Hmmm, we went for a a guy who has Champions league experience and then went for lots of people at Swindon.

Respond with context.2 -
If even the mangers are unavailable where's anyone gonna sleep? Not even the friendliest innkeeper can helpsillav nitram said:

But Sandgaard himself decided to approach a household name who has not only won the Champions League but other European and domestic titles too.
Benitez is the only one I can think of who fits all those criteria and isn't currently in a much better job.
Di Matteo and Rijkaard the other trophies bit doesn't seem to fit.1 -
So much BS in that article. I wonder if he actually believes the rubbish that he comes out with.13

Why are you so anti TS, and moan at everything he does?superclive98 said:So much BS in that article. I wonder if he actually believes the rubbish that he comes out with.7 -
Stopped reading when he said we can treble our income in League One. So full of shit. Just get promoted mate.14

He doesn't help himself at times.
Talks such a load of bollox.19 -
Cause London is a major city outsiders looking to buy a football club look at the amount of people living there and think that’s easy to fill stadiums etc.
Last season was a lesson learned when even when you are giving thousands of tickets that does not many will flood into your stadium if the product is inadequate8 -

Guess it could be a player that won the Champions League/other European leagues? If Sandgaard genuinely went after a manager who has won those competitions I’m half impressed half concerned.1 -
So you believe everything that he says in that article then? I'd rather he said nothing.sillav nitram said:

I'm not anti TS at all but just say it as I see it. I was grateful for him saving us from the thieving scumbags who preceded him but have been more than underwhelmed ever since. If you come in shouting your mouth off about where the club was going to be within 5 years then you have to at least make a start to deliver on those promises. I don't see any progress at all and my expectations for the coming season are as low as they have ever been.

Jon Dahl Tomasson won the Champions League with AC Milan, the league with AC Milan and Feyenoord.se9addick said:

I mean he's just come to England as well, as Manager of Blackburn Rovers3 -
Bloke is full of shit.
All gimmicks and style over substance which makes the new NFT sponsorship very fitting.
Deliver then talk and show.
11 -
Lol what a load of shit. Just shut up, sign some players that can get us out of this shitty, tin pot league and then go from there11
-
Wish I could get as angry about an interview with not much in it as some.14

at the end of the day I think everyone knows by now that you need to take whatever he says with a pinch of salt13 -
Not angry in the slightest. Just think he's a bullshitter.9

Turd polishing at its absolute finest!
You were sold a pup Tommy. Deal with it.1 -
Several decades of mismanagement 🤦🏻♂️
Just say since Dowie was appointed 15 odd years ago !
After the blow this league out of the water remark which boosted the season tickets 12 months ago to about 10k and we started in relegation form, prefer action to words.
The difference in wages between recruiting a European champions League winner and a Division 2 manager must be 10 fold.
Avron Grant might come cheap !2 -
Some friendly advice
Under promise, over deliver
Avoid doing interviews with S*n, a sensationalist rag that just wants a click bait headline.
Under promise, over deliver
It's the past 15 years, not the past two decades, we've been badly run, we were doing fine in 2002.
Finally, under promise, over deliver43 -
Hooray Henry 👏1

I understand this view but it's been almost two years now - I personally take everything he says in these national media pieces with more than a pinch of salt.charltonkeston said:Hmmm, we went for a a guy who has Champions league experience and then went for lots of people at Swindon.
I like Tommy but I wish he would say less sometimes.
He loves the spotlight, that's just who he is. I don't believe he's here to BS us. I tend to believe that he's simply an optimistic fella who lets his mouth run away with excitement sometimes.
I appreciate having someone at the top who is as excited about the football as we fans. As long as the club remains ambitious and I can watch them play every Saturday, I couldn't care less about "promises" of the Premier League in five years or European football in 10. They're lofty targets but they're not something to crucify the man over.
My health has benefitted hugely from not taking everything TS says at face value.5
