Why would we want to sign a striker over 30 who has barely played in 2 years and made life changing money meaning his hunger won't be there and who is falling down the leagues to a level he would think himself better than.
Plus, in his career he has done better where he is the main man. He wouldn't be now.

Lyle is a big fat no from me and can’t see him dropping to league 1. He sees football as a job and nothing more, he’d play 21’s football if it meant he’d get his 15k a week or whatever he’s on now at Forest.0

If Taylor is prepared to have his contract torn up and take a pay cut then I’m afraid that Charlton would be way down the list of clubs who would be interested in taking him on those terms. I’m filing this with the Wilkes rumour.2

We know the talent he has at THIS level, but would never be accepted by our fan base and would have to be as psychologically impaired as morally bereft he is to entertain ever stepping foot back on our turf in red and white (ours). A total non-starter.1
