  • I think that result shows we are still a work in progress and I’m not sure we are good enough for the top six this year.

Their equaliser was comedy and there was other joke defending in the second half.

Bang average squad. We only seem to have one formation. Would like to see us try something different rather than doing like for like changes every game.

Going to be another long season

Not criticising Miles Leaburn, but when his weakness is obvious against Forest Green, then you have to question his being a first team member.

We need to do a better job of converting these draws into wins but there are only three teams that have lost fewer games than us: Ipswich, Portsmouth and our weekend's opponents Fleetwood.

Only one team has drawn more games than us: Fleetwood.

Lump on another 1-1 draw in a few days.
  • Our final ball, movement in the box, crossing and shooting was so poor tonight -FGR were there for the taking in the first half and yet we failed to test the keeper apart from the goal. Even before we gifted them the equaliser it was obvious they would change in second half and defend better and again we never looked like breaking them down and winning. Really poor stuff and can't see how we can seriously challenge for top 6 and given the 3 window comments Garner made recently he obviously doesn't think we can either and they want us to pay £30 FFS!

Absolute sh't show. Forest Green looked non league and we couldn't even beat them.

Is Mcgrandles a professional footballer or did he sneak on the pitch?
Stockley still useless in this formation.
    Massive error from the Goalkeeper
Dobson a few good tackles but wasteful with the ball
Clayden shouldn't be anywhere near a L1 team

    Raki Saki excellent
CBT did well if he had more end product he'd be champ quality
    Chin was excellent
  • We are an established L1 side.

I wouldn’t question his place in the squad, but it certainly helps support the argument that just maybe Jayden Stockley wasn’t the problem…

When you can't put a game to bed because there are not enough goals in the team the outcome is sadly predictable. When they didn't take their chances they sat back for the draw and we needed Stockley and Leaburn on the pitch. Not sure what Garner saw there.

Our biggest problem today was left-back. Chin was struggling defensively (although he was decent in possession) and then Clayden put on an exhibition of awful attacking play

For anyone who says Garner doesn't have a Plan B, he does. Puts Stockley on and hooks it in the box. Works like a charm.

Our biggest problem aside from playing the first 55 minutes literally with 10 men, that is

Can a season peter out after 8 matches?
  • Who moves first ,Sandgaard or Garner?

Already drawing too many games which no team can afford to do.

Feeling the next few days something could hit the fan and afew home truths being told.

    There are lessons for everyone.
    Leaburn isn't ready
We need the two injured full backs to return
No goalkeeper can continue in the side making those mistakes
Saangard is a busted flush and is leaking money. A genuine man who got in out of his depth, I feel sorry for him and us.

McGrandles was just dire, one of the worst performances i've seen of a player in a Charlton shirt

What a treat for the 10,579 in attendance.  Everything about this club says decline at the moment, from top to bottom.

My last game was QPR so I’ve waited just over a month for the class of 22/23 to show me what they’re about as we’re almost at the 10 game mark, and it’s exactly the same as last season, just some different personnel.

A healthy dose of reality tonight to show us how desperate the situation is and the slow shuffle to the lower reaches of league one.  There’s no top 6 with this lot.  A collection of free transfers from league 2 and a couple of loans, and this was meant to plug the gap from a team that spluttered to 13th last season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up in a similar position to Bradford in a few years.  Operation Blow the League out the Water has died a slow and painful death that is being stretched out to torment us.

  • I got absolutely drenched for that sack of shit!!!

This team is so desperate for a decent striker.  All well & good playing out from the back & passing the ball about, but there's no end product..

    So poor up top....so frustrating

  • people make me laugh on the marks thread, dishing out 7s and 8s every game regardless. you need to leave yourself somewhere to go for if we ever play well!

If Clayden and CBT had used the ball in any way close to well second half, we'd have won that

Did we miss Charlie Kirk? The final ball seems to have been poor tonight.

Kirk with multiple assists already this season.

We won't go down and won't go up. I knew that already to be fair. Even knowing that, we should have done better tonight.

Crying out for a top striker. A Clive Mendonca  type who leads from the front and sticks away a chance.
Thomas has effectively chucked away this season.

I said before the game, Thomas is in the building, an experienced defender, play him at left back .. our strikers are useless in a  4 3 3  f f s garner try a 4 4 2 .. a look at the table shows clearly that our problems are not just in attack .. we also concede far too many .. Inniss out banned for just one game, pity it's not 10 ..  GOOD, i m o the bloke is a fucking liability

He might have delivered a better ball than CBT, but would he have run at their defence to give himself the chance to do so?

    Eurgh

We are such a naive side, defensively we are there to be stretched and opened up. I'm loathe to give Wollacott grief, he made a mistake but is hugely in credit for me. The ref was annoying tonight but far from breaking into even the top 20 of worse ones I've seen for us.

Our problem beyind everything else for a side aging under a manager that is all about attack is we are so, so brainless in the last third. We play with a lone centre forward and two out and out wingers but get nobody around our striker and no bodies in the box and hardly any crosses! Then pull him out the team to leave a kid up there and isolated as if its the centre forwards fault

Sandgaard is going to regret taking this club on, I dont know why you would go to the bother and bluster of appointing someone like Ben Garner and then stopping short of properly backing him.

Anyway, an incredibly frustrating night, God knows what Innis did to manage his own minutes on the pitch as the first yellow wasn't a yellow and I couldn't see the second. If Blackett-Taylor had used his intelligence a little bit more and got his body over the ball we go in 2 maybe 3 up and kill the game off even allowing for an inevitable defensive nause up
