Very frustrating display because Forest Green were poor and there for the taking but CBT and R-S lack composure and blew their chances. Mind you, our play was very sloppy at times and they could easily have nicked another goal or two. Special thumbs up for Richard Chin who was excellent. Valley Gold members should be well chuffed with his skilful performance.

Our biggest problem aside from playing the first 55 minutes literally with 10 men, that is
Our biggest problem was our goalie let the ball through his hands for a goal for the second game running. Our second biggest problem was not scoring more than one goal when we were ahead. Our third problem was Mc Standstill
If you kept the list going for a while longer you might get to the left back eventually.

    Was that game worth £32?
I'm not sure it was worth a tenner.

I can't really take any positives from that to be honest. We didn't deserve to win. Possession stats are not winning games for us. We are where we are sadly. Neither centre forwards can play to the managers style, so time for a change of formation.

I feel like we are saying the same things as last year with different personnel and manager. The only constant is the owner....

2 wins in 8 games, not the start we wanted so it's looking like another mid table season, maybe we have to lower our expectations.

We're a crock of shit, and dare I say we looked worse at times over the last 3 games than we did last season
  • Parts of play were good but it's so few and far between. Personally think of Wollacott hadn't messed up we would have seen the game out. As it was, FG come out with intent and went for it putting us under the cosh. We had chances of our own and at least 5 times where if we had a final ball, we would have scored again. Overall just not good enough. Subs were ineffective (bar DJ) so that's worrying as it was a strong bench.

Special mention for McGrandles...what's the point of him? Can't pass, can't run and has no strength. If we can get rid in January, I'd do it. Certainly nowhere near the player that was promised.

Need to go back to the drawing board here Ben I think.

Oh and lastly....easily the worst ref I have even seen and there has been some shit in this division.

After the first few games of this season I really had hope of a really good season ahead. We weren’t great but it seemed clear that we were building an identity. Where has that gone? Garner has bigged up the fact that his style is all about possession but Forest Green Rovers have just come to The Valley and comfortably equalled us on that front. Sandgaard can take a large chunk of the blame for where we are because the squad looks woefully short but Garner needs to take a bit of credit too; it’s clearly not working right now, so change something, even it’s just minor amendments to bring the CF into the game more.

More specifically, McGrandles plays like I do in my dreams where I can’t move my legs properly. CBT scored but actually had a shocker of a game. Leaburn was a bit better than Stockley but the issue is still there. Rak-Sakyi needs to shoot one or two touches earlier. I genuinely cringe when I watch Stockley try to play football. If you mixed Chin and Clayden together you’d have a good wingback.

On the plus side, good to see so many friendly names in the Valley Gold winners email, be great for Corey Gibbs to get back down the Valley in a box

Dominated without threatening. Final ball poor again. Keeper flapping again.

Its frustrating as hell as every now and again it clicks and we see a nice move. There is a team there and I am not despondent yet, but we have absolutely got to be better with the decisions we make in the final 3rd.

Garner saying we need to be more ruthless and its tough to disagree with that.

    Innis is a fucking idiot.
  • Lots of passing back and forth in their half with very few ideas on how to get through. When FGR played in 3s on their right wing or even long passes into their winger our defence could not stop them. Lucky goal for them but we didn't have many obvious chances, so a draw is about right which is "shit", to use the vernacular.

I would pull CBT out of training with the other players and have somebody work on his shooting as if he had an ounce of composure he would be Championship. Two ounces, top end Championship. But he has less than that. Surely it is something you can work on.

Crying out for a top striker. A Clive Mendonca  type who leads from the front and sticks away a chance.
Thomas has effectively chucked away this season.
top strikers in any League cost lots .. Sandy talks a good fight but he's just not prepared to put the money (if he has any) where his mouth is .. Mendonca is a classic case of what a top striker can do for a club .. without him we'd'a never got into the Prem ever

  • At least we have no expectations now. It is kind of becalming. Bit like supporting a Shrewsbury, Rochdale or Mansfield.

Meet mates, have a few beers, chew the cud about life, watch a decent Prem game, shrug your shoulders because you know it will be ordinary at the game, few more beers, takeaway on the way home, watch Match of the Day. Happy days. Low expectations are the key to supporting Charlton and having a good day.

Cool, we’ll just sign one of those historically brilliant strikers then. Job done!

Really hope TS sees we need another 2-3 players in January.
Dazzler, I have to ask, even if he does see the need, do you honestly think he is willing to do something about it ?
  • It was obvious that we needed a striker,, rather than trying to be clever and wait till the last day of the season just get the business done.
Lack of ambition and trying to get even the chesp.
    You can't rely on kids

Hard to get too worked up. We're a mediocre L1 side and belong in this division.

I’m normally up for defending the scape goat, but after that performance I am unable to tonight.

Who moves first ,Sandgaard or Garner?

Already drawing too many games which no team can afford to do.

Feeling the next few days something could hit the fan and afew home truths being told.
    I think it already has.
