(well, Egbo too, yes. And the Dobson/Fraser midfield is at least competitive and they look to pass forward. Negatives: the bloody wingers as usual)1

Having watched the "highlights" the main event yesterday was the referee going off.3

Trouble is we are playing third division football , our opponents are not very good and we still can't beat them. I like Brownie . Don't shoot the messenger.Dazzler21 said:I feel like Brownie is anything but a Charlton supporter. Constantly says how disappointing our opponents are, never talks up our good stuff anymore (it's limited I know.)11 -
I thought everyone would understand I meant that by saying "other photo evidence may show different".MuttleyCAFC said:
That photo does but it is not a freeze frame. The keeper has his hand on the ball so we really need to see a photo before the hand got there to be sure.Covered End said:

The photo clearly shows it did not (other photo evidence may show different).
The whole of the ball has to over the line.0 -
It was a general point agreeing with your sentiment, not an attack on you!0

Out of all 72 clubs (3 divisions outside premier league) charlton have drawn the 2nd most games.
Only west brom top us on the exciting stat with 8 draws0 -
‘er indoors reckons that at least we didn’t loose and we can’t win every game, so there you are mates , maybe we are overreacting…😉0

He's not there to be a rose-tinted glasses cheerleader, we've got Terry to provide the "biased" opinions, and to be fair to Terry, some other club commentators are far more one sidedMikeBaileysFanClub said:

So, we are not beating all and sundry, who are apparently “not very good”, they are clearly better than us, it is us that are not very good..MikeBaileysFanClub said:

Some serious sorting out is required starting at the top with Thomas because we are going one way, and it don’t involve any talk of promotion currently.0 -
I think they said that WBA are top of the league (may have said 2nd) in XG.Dave2l said:Out of all 72 clubs (3 divisions outside premier league) charlton have drawn the 2nd most games.

In reality they are in the relegation zone (sounds reasonably familiar)?0 -
previously I have been very critical of Innis, yesterday he was very good .. he needs to keep his cool and keep following the example of the excellent calming presence of O'Connell next to him .. both did well and look more secure in the Garner version of a 4 4 2Leuth said:Big positive for me: Inniss. Playing 90 minutes most weeks and playing really, really well. A terrific defender and distribution improving. Make him skipper, seriously5 -
I said weeks ago that Garner was not up to this job.
Real problem is the useless owner and until that changes for the better, we will suffer.

The trouble is we have League 2 players, playing in League 1, and expecting them to get us promotion and play in the Championship6

To be honest, I’ve watched every match this season and I’m not sure if I could tell if Garner’s up to it or not. With this squad Alf bloody Ramsey would struggle.BigDiddy said:I said weeks ago that Garner was not up to this job.

I still think it’s too early for the axe to fall, but this squad is better than 18th. It’s not great, but it’s probably the 10th-12th best squad in the league so Garner is underperforming at the momentse9addick said:

That interview doesnt fill me with confidence.
How have we "rebounded"? We are getting worse, not better.2 -
Big fan of Garner as I've said many times, but lose on Tuesday & I think he's in trouble.
Personally I don't think he's the problem though0 -
I agree. Unlike the idiots in love with their own importance we have had recently (JJ excluded) I suspect he is doing his best with a shit job. And it will do for him. I feel sorry for him.Gravesend_Addick said:Big fan of Garner as I've said many times, but lose on Tuesday & I think he's in trouble.

Even worse than that he's ditched his favoured formation & gone 442. And from the highlights (very limited viewing I admit) all Woolacott's clearances were big punts downfield for out front 2 to fight for. Not what was being played up until recently.killerandflash said:Nothing has been forced on Garner, a patient passing from the back style is what he wants to play, it's not as if he secretly would rather play direct football or counter attack football.
Indeed my concern is that you'd expect us to be playing this style better by now, two months into the season, when we're actually going backwards.0 -
Good, I'm sick to death of the sidewards, forwards, backwards, sidewards, backwards, sidewards, forwards, give the ball to the opposition and they score tactics.golfaddick said:

We have the majority possession and one of the best XG - SO WHAT IT MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Just win some games for the love of God/someone/something/him/her/she/they/them.11
