!) What has happened to Woolacott? Ever since him spilling that cross for the FGR equaliser, he has been almost entirely rooted to his line. Used to come for everything. His kicking is also getting worse I feel. I know this is harsh but, there is an argument he could have done a lot better for all 4 goals yesterday and certainly MK's second on Tuesday.
2) I said it at the time, but I think Stockley's hip injury is a chronic one which is affecting his leaping and a loss of pace/mobility (if he ever had any!). In other words, he's not coming back to full fitness ever and we would do well to move him on, but can't see anyone taking him after a medical.
He is a shadow of the player he was 18 months ago. The system doesn't help but that doesn't effect everything.7 -

I don't think Ipswich were that great tbh. They have enough talent to do well enough but not the world beaters there made out to be.
Left at 3-2 to my shame but what a result. There's a decent team here...need some holes plugged in January then who knows what we can do.
Edit: ref was quite honestly the worst one we've had. Fucking disgrace.
Thanks.7 -
Possibly a season defining game for fans, manager, and team … time will tell0

alburyaddick said:I think the people who give Stockley very low marks are wrong. Admittedly he is a relatively limited League 1 striker but the poor guy has to play up front virtually on his own. He gets no support at all from Kirk ( who is useless) and precious little from Rak Saki. He won quite a lot of headers today but its pointless because there is no one near him to help or take advantage. Also he is very important defensively because he is the 2nd best after Inniss at clearing headers.
The other point is that the reason Aneke is so effective when he comes on is because the defenders are tired partly from their physical battle against Stockley.4 -

Sometimes I think we're expecting Pirlo !0 -

oohaahmortimer said:Well it’s currently not good enough , we have to be wiser and obviously it all depends on what we can spend .
we’re not that far off but we need better if we want a chance of going up0 -
oohaahmortimer said:As mentioned a little bit above of course the ref was pony but we had two monster calls go our way by him , firstly when Chuks threw one of their players out the way having grabbed him round the neck
then the ridiculous amount of extra time to the originally 6 minutes that allowed us to grab the equaliser, yes there had been goals but he didn’t have to play the extra 5 mins on top of the 6 mins or whatever it was, that’s definitely the most I’ve ever seen added to added when there was little injury time in it .
that was a major result of which the ref was atrocious but it worked in our favour in the end waking up the walking dead of our support and getting some fire in our bellies and then the ignoring of Chuks’s clotheslining and then we’ll play till Charlton equalise at the end .
just some level headed contrarian perspective from myself .13 - Sponsored links:

Not seen it mentioned but whilst Garner’s rant, sending off and whipping up the crowd may have been the catalyst it was Scott Lindsay who oversaw two comebacks and a performance that will live long in the memory.0

Lot's of comments on the ref, and agree he was a total arsehole for 90% of the game, the only part he got right was the injury time of 9+ minutes, and was good to see the Ipswich team being punished in the end for celebrating like they had won the bloody league after each of their injury time goals, they got what they deserved, resulting in us getting our just rewards...
Ipswich supporters crying in their beer is hilarious..we was robbed etc etc, look closer to home you mugs...

60 years of watching us, was only the second time I'd left early!

It was euphoric, but doesn’t alter the fact it was another two points dropped, leaving us twelve points behind target.
That means winning all home matches, and six away plus drawing the rest.
That remains my aspiration until we have played 23 games, then the target might have to be adjusted for a play off place.
Play offs being a lottery.8 -
My aspiration remains for us to win 7-0 every game.
I've now seen us fail to achieve my target every game for 50 consecutive years.
I may consider adjusting my target if it doesn't start happening soon.22 -

Is it just a coincidence sasa Illic was interviewed by Minto and curbs before the game...mostly reflecting on the 98 triumph
And the Ipswich game finished 4-4
I know, it's not too much of a coincidence and stranger things have happened, but a 4-4 scoreline is very rare in any match that has ever been played!

There was still 15 seconds to play after the equaliser. Should have been plenty of time to get the winner but instead we played for a draw. Negative football 😉9
