Nothing like intentionally cranking up fans anxiety.🤨0

That car park looks icey but the upside the potholes are filled in with snow/ice
out prospective new owner will stack it break his arm and be furious and pull out of the deal
just our luck2 -

Aren’t they just doing all they can to get the game on ?hoof_it_up_to_benty said:
Seriously it's f***ing ridiculous that they leave it so late to call the game off. Football as a whole needs to sort this out.FishCostaFortune said:Could this be us in 10 minutes time….If there is a chance that it can go ahead shouldn’t you give it the time to become playable ? Or are we saying if there is any chance that it won’t be playable we should call games off the day before ?1 -
Either late decisions are made, or games are called off unnecessarily, which is worse?1

You need a cutoff time to prevent wasted journeys etc - how late do you think it's okay for games to be called off?billysboots said:

IMO you do all you can to get the game on . Waving the white flag early if there is a chance it can be played is wrong.Stu_of_Kunming said:Either late decisions are made, or games are called off unnecessarily, which is worse?2 -
Late decisions are worse. A game called off last night that then might have been able to go ahead is an Oh Well moment. Travelling all that way and then getting called off sucks big timeStu_of_Kunming said:Either late decisions are made, or games are called off unnecessarily, which is worse?5 -

I suppose the sensible way to approach this is look at the percentages. If say there is a low chance of the game making it, it might be better to call it off early but if there is a decent chance you have to give it that chance.
If we win, it would have been a good decision. If we lose it will be a poor one

If it taking the ref another 15 mins to decide the pitch is clearly not playable and won’t be from 4 pm onwards when temp drops

Would agree with this, so if the game goes ahead, the risk was worth taking.MuttleyCAFC said:I suppose the sensible way to approach this is look at the percentages. I would imagine the ref only cares if the pitch is playable or not, rather than the inconvenience for fans.sam3110 said:

Completely agree. It’s only happened to me twice - Newcastle away in the night in 2003 (I think) and Blackpool away a couple of years back when Armfield had just passed away. Games can be rearranged anytime. Travel fares on trains can’t if fans have already set offsam3110 said:

I assume no stewards will be standing or sitting on the concrete toe beam at the bottom of the Curbs stand, as it's still covered in ice!

Looks like they have removed all the snow from the pitch.killerandflash said:I assume no stewards will be standing or sitting on the concrete toe beam at the bottom of the Curbs stand, as it's still covered in ice!

Orient have a heated dome over their pitch. A comment below the tweet suggest it was paid for by Spurs for their women's team
