Sensible decision, open Sunday 11:00 -15:00.
Silly why they did not advertise this on first release date.
This suggests a lot of tickets have not been collected.  Ticket Office hours should have been made an eight hour day and put on general sale immediately.

I think it was inevitable and it will save them a lot of hassle in the long run.
The long run is only 48 hours, 'some' have to go to work on Monday.
I mean save the club hassle. They really don't want to be faced with chaos on Monday and then having to pass the details to Utd of hundreds and hundreds of uncollected tickets.
I still think that they were wrong not to condense the various levels of loyalty points, so as to reach general sale sooner. More people would then have been happy to rely on the post.
Would they? I wouldn’t trust Royal Mail with anything that I needed reasonably urgently at the moment.
  • If the club asked for extra tickets after the initial allocation and then doesn't sell the full allocation, does it have to meet the cost of the unsold tickets?

Some people have been saying that they have received their tickets within a couple of days. I'd have wanted at least a week to feel safe.

I was wondering that, which would explain why they’ve been plugging it so much in last few days

Very impressed with the ticket staff today, arrived about 3:15 today and took 90 seconds approx to collect.
Well what a surprise……I wonder why at 3.15 no one was queuing?🙄🙄🙄

Unlikely, I would think, in any event only 55% of the average price after VAT, because the rest is its cut anyway.

The way to sell the rest of the tickets would be to put more coaches on, but it’s a bit late now.

Sadly I can't go due to work. However if I could've gone and we had sold out I'd be right pissed off with the numbers of tickets now being 'up for sale' on FB! I think I even saw one being offered to £250.00! Nor sure if it was someone taking the piss or not, but if true that's just plain disgusting! Hope no-one takes it up and the twat losses money!
Get what you mean Red……but there might also be a few who have got tickets who for one reason or another can’t now make it and are genuine.
    Difficult to know of course.

What’s the reasoning behind not putting more coaches on?

You’d have to ask the club. I don’t know how many they have put on, but I suspect to manage the workload.

Am surprised no supporter groups or the Trust  have not organised coaches of their own
  • Mine hasn’t turned up in the post

Annoying as really can’t be arsed with the pick up at OT after a day on the beers but looks
    like that’s the only option

May have been able to had the club been clear that no more coaches would be put on instead of implying they might.

Prob better off picking up as soon as you get up there and then getting on the beers.

I have just seen ESPN 1 advertising the match on the tele in Mexico. Of all the days to travel I’ve picked the 10th to catch an internal flight from Mexico City to Cancun during kick off.

Very quiet on here today regarding collecting tickets. Did anyone, other than @iamdan, actually go down there today?

Have to say huge complements to the Charlton ticket office / coms team for this amazing job !
  • I’m guessing this has been covered already, so I’m sorry if this is repetition, but don’t fancy reading through 47 pages of comments… just tried to book online but the only option is collection from The Valley. Does anyone know if there’s a way of collecting from Old Trafford or know who I could contact on Twitter (official account doesn’t have DMs)?

I’ve sent an email to fans@cafc.co.uk, but fear it won’t get answered in time.

    Thanks!

Give the ticket office a call tomorrow, they’ll let you know what details they need on the mail.
  • Brill, thanks both. I only emailed that fans@cafc email address as that’s where the Twitter account refers you, but will try tickets@cafc.co.uk and call tomorrow if I don’t hear anything.
  • tried to call the ticket office this morning, number doesn't appear to be working. Really want to give them the heads up that I'll only need the return coach tomorrow... not sure how else to get through, any suggestions?
