Maybe we are confusing each other here but I don't understand... I'm saying I hope he has more to his game than just nicking goals, and you're saying well he has scored lots of goals...Garrymanilow said:Chunes said:I hope he's got more to his game than being a poacher, they're a dying breed for a reasonHe scored 43 League One goals for Cheltenham in two seasons. It was you who said play him wide!!!soapboxsam said:Covered_End_Lad said:May reminds me of a Conor Washington that can finish, very similar off the shoulder clever running in behind, also looks both footed.
I agree with you but CL member recons he will be stuck out on the wing !
FFS can we wait until the club announce how long Miles will be out as we start with a week and it goes up to months. It gets depressing.1 -

Just out of interest, who is his agent, and does said agent represent any of the player’s currently on our books?

Quick... Someone tell Cheltenham...0

Shame we can't do a deal for Cash + Lavelle with Carlisle for Owen Moxon. There's the ideal third CM for a 352.5

CUFC: £500k
CAFC: What if we throw in Lavelle
CUFC: Okay... We still want £500k though31 -

I'll judge that once I can see what the plan to use him is.Making_all_the_noise said:

This is the calibre of signing you go for if you want promotion.8

I'm saying that you don't get that many goals for a side that doesn't create a huge amount and has the budget of a side that should be looking at relegation by just being a poacher. Cheltenham can't afford to carry a player who just pounces on chances, May is a part of where those chances come from. He's involved in more than just the end product. He got 7 assists across the two seasons, making him their 4th highest assist-maker in 21/22 and joint 3rd highest in 22/23, and he does a lot of work running in behind, stretching defences and linking up play so that the chances he finishes can happen. He also creates a fair few of his own chances. His goal return is reflective of him being more than just a poacherChunes said:

I said play him off the shoulder of Leaburn, and makes sure he spends more time in and around the box.
I have made no secret of being a fan of two up front especially in the mediocre League 1.
It's your manta that if you play a 3 up front you have a central striker and two wide men. That hardly ever works for Cafc unless we are away to Plymouth.
I said if CBT is fit then fine he can play wider but we need the goal scorers to be in and around the box when attacking.
I still have no idea what Dean Holden preferred formation is ? I guess it will become clearer over the next 7 weeks.
After the personal abuse you gave to Large addict, I'm surprised you weren't banned. Others have been banned for less.2 -

Why do you have to keep on misspelling his name? No-one else is, and Dabo is hardly a difficult name to type out. Even if you get it slightly wrong, autocorrect is pushing towards David, not Diablo. At best it makes you look weird, at worst...sillav nitram said:Diablo to be announced, sometime.
I thought his name was spelt Dildo.

Well judging by Leaburn’s supposed long term ankle injury, I’d hazard a guess he’ll be upfront.Cafc43v3r said:

May is a Washington type player, but hopefully with a few more goals in him.1
