    You'd imagine CBT gets the gig at WB and then either DJ or we switch to a 433 bringing DJ/Kirk/Campbell into play.

    Ok, we don't have a left-wing back then. Even worse as Thomas can cover LB so we'd have an option in a 4. But yes, I know CBT will play there.

    Egbo ? DJ ? Both played wing back for us already , DJ under Jackson and did pretty well ..

    I do get why people are impatient tho, we’ve been here the last few seasons and our inability to get good players in has cost us. However, there is plenty of time and I have faith in Holden getting the right players, which is the most important thing. Don’t panic.

    I'm not panicking. Just rebuffing those who say we have until Sept 1st to sign players when we know that didnt work for us the last 2 years.

    More than happy we signed May.

    Happier if 2 players had signed for more than 1 year.

    FWIW. I havent bought a ST and wont be. I will pick & choose games for the first few months & see where we are come xmas. 

    And couldn't give a toss really who Pompey & Derby sign - again just pointing out that some teams seem to think it best NOT to wait until the end of August.

    When we went up in 2018/19, Pratley was signed on 17 July, and Bielik and Cullen didn't arrive until mid and late August respectively.

    Clearly there's a benefit to getting players in early (as the promotion under Powell showed), but you can still make some great signings late in the window.

    If his fitness is sorted, which clearly it was at Cambridge, I’d definitely expect him to play a part.
