Lewis Bate would love to sign for Charlton this window. I can say that with 100% certainty having spent all weekend with his mum and dad. In fact Lewis broke the news to us sunday night that Holden had been sacked. BTW - Charlton said they would make room for Lewis even though it wasn't a priority position - he felt that Holden leaving wasn't good for his chances of moving here however although thats not to say he won't - Leeds won't loan him to another championship club - he has 6 months to go then he can talk to other clubs - he has lots opf clubs interested - he just wants to play football though and sitting on a bench for 6 months isn't what he wants or why he chose to move from Chelsea to Leeds.20

Our problem wasn't letting him go.
It's that we've not got a better player in to replace him.
He has already made 3 mistakes for Wigan this season that have lead to goals..

Won't miss Payne. He ran around a lot but different offer anything in defence or attack. Think league 2 is his level. Hopefully this is the first of many outgoings before the window shuts.6

Payne feels like one of those players that's excellent in League 2 but not quite good enough to be a starter for a top L1 team. Will be interesting to see how we upgrade there.
I'd really like Lewis Bate but I think Leeds might need another CM in their end. I saw they had a deal collapse yesterday for a German CM.2 -
