Could see Serbia and Denmark being problematic, they've caused problems at Major Tournaments for other big Nations, so shouldnt take them lightly.Laddick01 said:

First tournament in a while where I didn't really care who we got. I think we should be confident that we can beat anyone.1 -

Was just the Netherlands and Italy I didnt wantLaddick01 said:

Whatever the Tournament, they're the two we always seem to struggle against - Same we're in France's half of the draw too, was hoping they'd "want" an England vs France Final1 -

Hope we get late KO's... Not that I should care working from home!!Callumcafc said:England fixtures:

IF England win their group, some potential opponents for each knockout round…

            Win Group C...
- 2nd Round: 30th June
- Quarter-Finals: 6th July
- Semi-Finals: 10th July
Second Place
- 2nd Round: 29th June
- Quarter-Finals: 5th July
- Semi-Finals: 9th July
Third Place
- Who the f**k knows!! - Could be anything1 -
IF England finish runners up, some potential opponents…
R16: winner of A (Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland)
QF: winner of B barring an upset (Spain, Croatia, Italy)
SF: winner of F (Portugal?) or runner up of D/E (Netherlands/France)…1 -
how does it work with the third place teams? Its only the 4 with most points (that progresses) isn't it so how the hell do they decide who plays who? Another draw in the middle of the tournament???0
 -

It's going to be fucking France in the semi's then isn't it? Although realistically i think any side who wins the Euro's is going to have to beat them at some point.Callumcafc said:IF England win their group, some potential opponents for each knockout round…

Don’t believe there is a third place game for the Euros. Shockingly, you’d think UEFA would love another game to sell the rights for.ForeverAddickted said:Win Group C...

Good draw. Just need Southgate to trust what he has offensively a bit more.0

One of the best ever KO Games that was1 -

UEFA want to avoid situations where there are rematches earlier than a semi final. Hence why England (if they win Group C) can only face D/E/F teams.Callumcafc said:

Any potential quarter final is against A or B runners up so putting any 3rd placed A/B team against England COULD result in two teams who already played in a group game playing each other in a quarter final.
Once you get to the semis though it’s unfortunately unavoidable. But they still do their best to mitigate it.2 -

They really messed up the competition by expanding it to 24 teams didn't they - not only the above nonsense but they have made it so that the teams in group E and F who play their final game later have an advantage over the earlier groups - e.g teams in group F who play their final group game last will know exactly how many points/goals (because it's bound to come down to goal difference) they need in their final game to progres.
It's a small thing in the context of the whole competition I suppose but isn't that the reason why the final group game was changed to be played simultaneously in groups to avoid this kind of thing?
