I think there has been far too much reverse sweeping in this series. I get why it's played but it always seems to carry risk, particularly when tail enders attempt it.1

The reverse is one of Jimmy's favourite shots though. In this situation England either needed runs or a 25 minute session against the Indian openers. Defending for 7 overs would have been pointless.0
