    Dan Udoh. Charlton have looked so shaky at the back again and no one comes out of that goal with any credit. How Udoh was able to manoeuvre into the space to shoot is beyond me.  24'

    I know Jones likes a diamond, but we already look miles better since we reverted back to 3-5-2.

    Very strange to start with some formation we haven't played under Jones before.

    Appears we've  now gone 352 but we've ended up with a left footer at right wing back.

    Surprised he trialed the diamond today given our defence can barely function with 5 at the back. I wouldn't put Gillesphey or Thomas in a 4 and playing Small deeper feels like a waste given our lack of other attacking outlets. If he's going to switch between 352 and the diamond next season we're going to need much better CBs

    And with that we're 1-0 down. Excellent.
    It's true we lack a great 10, but both May and TC have played there. Mileage may vary for both, but, with a midfield of Anderson, Dobbo, and Coventry behind them I think that's more interesting that what we started with. Plus either can drift wide to make up for the width we'd be lacking with Thomas at RB.

    His tactical genius would overwhelm the Shrews and we'd be 3 up by now?
