Has anyone been to Diani Beach Kenya. I was talking to a friend last night who recommended the place for R&R after 3 weeks travelling. As my tour ends in either Arusha or Nairobi. I was thinking of going to Mauritius but that’s quite a schlep from Nairobi/Arusha.0

I tip toe into 2027 in the Canaries (going for Christmas and New Year).
Very early January I’m going to Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania - then thinking of heading over to Mauritius from Tanzania.
To escape the cold I’m thinking of touring Asia; Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand or just Japan?

Mrs TT and me have just booked our ferry to ride our 50yr old bikes (xs650) to Norway and the Arctic Circle, late May to June for a month.
Hopefully we're all up for it, being a combined 230yrs.
We'll do the channel islands on our bikes later in the year.5 -

Mostly looking at trips within Thailand next year. Have visited around 30 provinces now, but there’s just over 70 in total, so plenty still to explore.If finances allow, we will visit Japan for 10 or so days to see friends and visit a few places not yet seen.0

A Tour of Sri Lanka in the spring for 15 nights. Includes a 1st class train trip, to keep Charlton relevant.
And the end of next summer is our 40th wedding anniversary so I would like to do something a bit special but thus far I haven't thought of anything. I would like friends to join us somewhere for a quiet celebration, may be a city break somewhere in Europe. Or me and my wife go somewhere nice by ourselves. Either way 2027 will be my penultimate year before retirement, (hopefully), so I'm determined to splash out a bit while I have a bit of earnings.0 -
I don’t know if anyone else is experiencing this but BA seems to be either cancelling flights or rescheduling the timings of the flights. I don’t mind the timings as the difference is only 20-30 minutes but one flight was cancelled and I had to rebook the following day. This has meant paying an extra night(s) for a hotel and my Heathrow Express ticket on another flight has meant its now null and void as it was a booked in advance to get the discount.
Somehow, I don’t think BA will be offering compensation.0 -

I just got back from a long weekend in York. Wow, what a place! Almost felt like being in Florence. Beautiful, walkable city with lots of history and friendly people. Planning to return with the family next summer.4

I fly a lot with BA and find the same, anything booked 3-4 months in advance invariably changes, but usually sub 30 minutes. Had BA flights changed/cancelled at short notice recently and so have others I know. Got a text from them on Christmas Day afternoon saying our flight home from NY the following day was cancelled with no other info. Managed to get it sorted with the travel agent but BA were fucking useless. They also cancelled a work flight home from Glasgow on the morning of the flight. Got rescheduled to a later one but only got n standby (luckily I managed to get a seat).
