Surely gets asked in Jones pre-match presser, probably would have gotten an update if the Reading game wasn’t behind closed doors_uptheaddicks said:No news or update probably = surgery I guess?

He’d still be vague and say something like “ he’s a week closer “ . Our manager is consistent I’d give him that.Crispywood said:

That's the minimum for a Charlton injury. Just assume that any player we have out is likely to be missing for 2-3 months and if they come back sooner it's a bonus.DennisBooth said:I heard it could be 2 to 3 months
Because of the extended international break we don't play a game from 19 Sept - 10 Oct so if he is out for that long then i'd guess he will be targeting a return for the Bristol City game on 10 October.
I'd expect that clubs like us who don't have a lot of players away will probably be playing 1-2 friendlies behind closed doors in that 3 week period to keep players match fitness up and to help bring injured players back.4 -
Really feel for him, as it looks like he spent the off-season training in Marbella and Essex.2

If it is thought he's not ready until October we need to get in a loan to cover this.
What we have atm is not good enough.0 -
Kelman started 19 of 33 games last season and managed 75 mins in only 4 games wasn’t exactly rated highly by Jones or our star player.ElfsborgAddick said:If it is thought he's not ready until October we need to get in a loan to cover this.

also the assumption what we have is not good enough.1) our forwards had no service last year
2) Mbick/Godden we haven’t seen at this level properly so how do we know.
3) last season was Leaburn’s first full season of staying fit and playing championship level ok that may not be a good enough reason but it’s still an argument opposed to a certainty.
how about we actually give them a chance opposed to hitting the panic button cause Kelman’s missing what 2 months of the season we don’t even have squad space to bring in another striker unless we just decide to release Godden or Leaburn.5 -

Strikers are not really the issue, it's the service (or lack of it) that they get.ElfsborgAddick said:If it is thought he's not ready until October we need to get in a loan to cover this.

Surprised he’s set to be out for so long tbh. What’s the injury? Does it stop him training on the grass?0

Dislocated shoulder. He’ll probably still be running etc. but if recovery isn’t done right for it, it can happen again.WoolwichAddick said:Surprised he’s set to be out for so long tbh. What’s the injury? Does it stop him training on the grass?0 -

It hurts so much to run with a dislocated shoulder - even in healing.Diebythesword said:

Looks like he is back with the group in the training video posted on socials. In kit and leaning on his shoulder happily enough.1

Looked like he was doing fitness stuff with the group but not taking part in stuff with footballs, doing that with Edwards instead. With Miles, Godden and Mbick fit we don't need to rush him backDamoNorthStand said:Looks like he is back with the group in the training video posted on socials. There was nothing stopping him training in the first place it’s just the contact stuff he’s not allowed to do.DamoNorthStand said:Looks like he is back with the group in the training video posted on socials. In kit and leaning on his shoulder happily enough.0
