    Equally as bad as 2006 apart from this time we luck horribly shaky in defence as well. Just hope at some point we start J Cole and play him behind Rooney, probably our only chance of playing any football in this tournament. I normally stick up for Heskey but he's been abysmal tonight.

    Absolutely agree re: Rooney. I've never seen him look this disinterested. Dreadful performance from all concerned except Barry.

    £6m a year and it took him till 70 plus minutes to wake up, realise it wasn't working and make a sub but still keep the same formation. Pathetic.

    I think part of the problem is because they lost the first game and only qualified via a play-off, everyone assumes they're not much cop. But in the play-off they knocked out Egypt who are this year's African Cup of Nations champions, so they clearly have their moments.

    But our passing has been awful.

    You are not far wrong re Magic Henry, solid at the back and got forward more than he should have, I am struggling to think of a better player on the pitch.

    mine leroynwe agree on a lot lately and I agree with all above excpet Barry, he was awful IMO carragher our best player, never thought I'd hear that.
