Got a feeling we could "do an Ipswich" with a 0-3, feel we're creating some good chances, our luck has got to break soon, and why not Sunday...🙏

I reckon after watching them the other day, they done a Charlton, had a special day with they’re limited edition kit and stunk the place out, without a shot on goal I believe, they would be over the moon to postpone.

    ● Blackburn lost their last home league game against Charlton in August 2019, having won three in a row without conceding against them at Ewood Park previously.

    ● Following their 3-0 win at the Valley in September, Charlton are looking to complete the league double over Blackburn for the first time since 2003-04.

    ● Blackburn have won just two of their last 15 home league games played on a Sunday (D5 L8), losing the last three in a row.

    ● Charlton are winless in their last seven away league games (D2 L5) since a 3-0 win at Ipswich in October.

    ● Charlton’s 10 away goals in the Championship this season have been netted by nine different players, with Harvey Knibbs the only player to score more than once (2).

Nah they were very unlucky at one point early in the second half, had a shot from distance, hit the cross bar and landed about an inch the wrong side of the goal line - Wrexham 'keeper might even have got a hand to it

No tickets sold on the day according to Blackburn. Too late to sort myself out with tickets.
Yeh it’s a weird decision- can’t buy them today either. 2026.

I watched the Blackburn game before ours and they were awful . We played well against Coventry so it all leads to a Charlton win but we know football doesn’t work like that .
I’m still going for a win to The Addicks . 0-2 ( Kelman and Jones )

Looks like it’s going to be very cold up there overnight between Saturday & Sunday. Assuming Blackburn have preventative measures in place to avoid the pitch freezing.

If everyone is able to go again on Sunday then that's what I would be happy with. My only change would be Knibbs or Carey for Berry. Big game this. Get a win here and things will look and feel a lot better. Blackburn seem to be in freefall so hopefully we don't give them a lift with an early goal.

This game would’ve had so much more appeal to it had we drew them away in the 3rd round of the FA Cup

Important not to lose obviously but NJ will fancy a win in this fixture,  let's hope the travelling Addicks get a result 0-1.

Yeah, 'Uptown Top' Rankin-Costello's form and performances as an attacking midfielder  has come seemingly from nowhere and is VERY welcome indeed
Blackburn have a worse injury list than us, their form is awful and the 'fans' are getting on their collective case
Unchanged for us after the Coventry performance and at the very least 1 point from this one
Blackburn might be at death's door, but they ain't dead yet

    It's for two reasons.

    1. To stop home fans from buying tickets in the away end.

    2. They will have planned stewarding and police around the number of away tickets sold and want to discourage several Charlton fans from turning up on the day.

If the odd few Charlton fans show up on the day, Blackburn would probably sell them tickets in the away end.

    Burke Jones Gillesphey
    Apter JRC Coventry Knibbs Bell
    Leaburn Kelman

Campbell on at 60 mins to terrorise them, he's so much better off the bench.

Hopefully another quick turnaround won't risk injury to Bell, Burke, Leaburn and JRC, as we can't afford to lose any of them. I imagine that Berry will be back on the bench for Knibbs or Carey, as I don't think that Nathan would want to start Fullah in a game like this.

According to the internet, Ewood Park has had undersoil heating since the Jack Walker glory days in 1994 and it was upgraded in 2025, so hopefully the pitch will be playable despite the freezing conditions. Hopefully, it will be good return journey for the loyal and hardy travellers, to whom I most absolutely doff my cap.

I'd be happy with a point to keep ourselves top of that bottom 6 and avoid giving Blackburn a leg up. I always feel that a point away from home is a good point and, with Pompey and Oxford facing difficult fixtures, we could extend our lead over both of them.

Blackburn are inconsistent, a draw at Middlesbrough and then capitulation against Wrexham, beat Millwall at home then lose at Pompey. A ridiculous three days in-between our fine result against Coventry and this game, quite simply, the EFL do not have a clue, this division will eventually morph into Premier two, in my humble opinion and a lot of others, 46 games will be seen as nonsense when that does happen. Anyway, if we are able to field the same back line then I'm confident we can get something, I think Nathan will keep the same eleven if possible, much gnashing of teeth over Berry starting, and I'd be happy with a draw.

    Must win.

You can’t have free hits without must wins.

If the last game was a free hit, this is a must win.

We keep coming up with reasons why we don’t need to win a game. No more dicking around - win it, take three points home, get away from the relegation zone.
But I thought the last one was a must win not a free hit?

Personally think this is a do not lose but reckon we'll sneak a win anyway
    It was. That’s my point.

I said it was must win. Most said it wasnt.

Therefore this one must be a win.

At some point we have to win multiple games of football. So therefore there has to be multiple games coming up that we have to win.

    Why not this one?

“Must win” is really reserved for a match that you need to win to get promoted/clinch a playoff place/avoid relegation/win a cup. If you describe everything as a must win, when in reality not winning would only leave you in a marginally worse position than you currently are, you don’t really understand what a must win match actually is.

I have marked off a number of games to try and get up to the kind of points level to stay up. 21st is job done.

The real balls up was the Pompey and Norwich disasters.

That put more pressure on reclaiming those lost points elsewhere. We need to win …. 7-8 games? Something like that? With a few draws?

If this isn’t a win…. I ask where the other 7-8 wins are coming from? You can’t be putting pressure on getting them from the likes of Millwall away.

We need to take the chance from Sundays game.

I reckon they really want this called off and will not try much to protect against a frozen pitch? Hence the ticket sale issue they are softening the blow when it comes!

JRC is not an attacking midfielder, he is an 8 not a 10. On the evidence of the past 2 games he is actually what many fans have been calling for, a playmaker in midfield, fetching and carrying. More like Cullen.
    Long may it continue

Is there any chance that Ramsay's fit again for this one? What's his injury?

    …when’s he’s playing for Boro 😜
  • 0-2, Burke and Kelman. They are injury riddled and in a poor run, we are getting closer to full strength and most importantly have our first choice back three.

Berry surely has to come out, ideally for Carey imo - we know what he can do and he has had a rest. Otherwise unchanged.

All my pessimism is reserved for it getting called off, although as far as I'm aware that's generally a flooding issue due to the nearby river rather than about the temperature.

Should be the last league game his misses. NJ said two weeks after Pompey and we have Chelsea after Blackburn of course
