[cite]Posted By: uncle[/cite]Na pretty fair i think only henman had the crowd behind him much more than murray
That much was very clear. Henman had much more backing of the crowd than Murray did. Perhaps that is because Henman is English and Murray is Scottish, even though both are British.
Or it might be that while a small minority may have found Henman to be an upper class bore, the vast majority looked upon him as a positive role model and true sportsman. While Murray has grown up, he was viewed as grumpy and surly when he burst upon the scene, and hasn't changed everyone's minds that he is more mature.
Murray is a real talent. More talented than Henman.
I won't be surprised if Murray wins the US Open.
Shame but we were all expecting it really. Better now than getting thrashed in the final I guess. As soon as he failed to break Roddick at 0-40 up at beginning of the third set the game was up. Roddick had got into his head with that fightback. Murray did well to get it to a tie break but was never going to win that or the one in the fourth!
This is the most faultless display of tennis from both players in the same match that I've ever seen. Awesome is a superlative often over-used, but its entirely appropriate here

Murray one set down.
I think Murray will struggle to pull this one off.
When they last met at Wimbledon 3 years ago, Murray won in straight sets.
I think Murray will just about have enough to edge a 5 set thriller.
Roddick or Murray?:-)
Can see this going to 5 sets...
I think whoever wins this will have to settle for the runner-up spot but that would be no disgrace I guess.
Murray just broke back, only 4-5 down in the set now.
Oh dear!
Och!
Oh well WELL PLAYED SCOTLAND.
Better player...well he has reached a final and won a few Masters tournaments can again can Murray make the next step up.
He was outclassed and admitted that.
No excuses like you get with some of our sportspeople for defeat.
Just being honest and accepting the defeat.
