[cite]Posted By: stop shouting[/cite]Not that I really give a toss but i've found australia's selection policy weird. How can steve smith get in as a specialist batsman ahead of the likes of david warner, cameron white, shaun marsh and david hussey. When I watch ipl and county cricket, smith is dressed us as a leg spinner that can do the long handle. Watching him in this series, he looks like a tail ender who can bat like swann or mitchell johnson. Very strange selection policy.
Totally agree about Smith. Some of his shots are more at home on the village green rather than the Ashes. Ironically, he has not only played for the Kent 2nd XI but is also qualified to play for England. Let's face it he would struggle to get a County contract let alone play for us.
In any case, we only allow 100% English born and bred to play for us ;-)
Well, that was pretty much the best thing ever. Cafc winning the treble might top it! Will never experience such scenes in my life. Well worth the extra cost to change our flights!
Colly looked so choked doing a second lap of the crowd! No sprinkler and we stayed for anges after they went in but happy with the footage of the melb one! Both days will never be beaten. 8 days of cricket - all tremendous enjoyed every second!!
'We'll take the urn home, we'll take the urn hoooooommmmmmeeeeee, with strauss our captain, we'll take the urn home!'
Was just having lunch in a bar in circular quay next to barmy army headquarters - sore heads in the morning! We're off to a hill top resort in noosa now for a proper honeymoon for 4 days and lay-ins after 8am!
Magnificent performance, i thought we would do well but to win three tests by an innings was beyond my wildest dreams. I wonder if you had to pick one eleven from the two sides how many aussies would get in it. I would have Hussey for collingwood and thats it

Colly is the obvious and ONLY player to lose his place. Whilst Hussey has been their best batsman, Watson at 6 and bowling a dozen overs a day would give greater balance.
The one thing we have been lucky with is the fact that none of our quickies have been injured during the match (unlike in many past series) and to lose one would mean only having three frontline bowlers with no backup.
Fantastic that you could be there, Suzie - how incredible it must have been. Jesus, I am jealous!
My brother lives in Sydders and was there on the 3rd day with his missus and some mates visiting from home and he had a great time. But being there for the last day must have been amazing; can't wait to see the highlights later!
For all you lot suffering from Ashes Cold Turkey.... SS1 now - PM's XI v Eng XI. 50 Over match from Canbera. Start delayed and down to 46 overs. Playing now.
There was a great full page picture of the Barmy Army in the Sunday Times Sport section this week, and right smack bang in the middle there was a Charlton away kit from the Allsports era.
[cite]Posted By: Addick Addict[/cite]Morgan is absoultely awesome in one day cricket. Really don't know what you bowl at him to stop him scoring at the pace he wants to score at.
Was just thinking the same. The best one-day finisher since Michael Bevan?
If KP can get his head sorted and start batting like we know he can, we could be in with a shout in the WC

Vince and his wife also made the after party in the team's hotel. Their pictures with some of the players looking absolutely brilliant.
Now 76-0 (Swann hit for 26 off his 1st over).
England 85-3 off 10.
Need 73 off 60 balls.
Colly out, reverse sweeping, for 16 off 20 and still struggling to find his form.
need 39 off 36........
