England to bat 1st............0
-
Brother is there, hugely jealous. Was eating my brekkie this morning and saw him at the net practice standing at roughly 2nd slip ! Weird
Sleep is a premium with twins but I'm now staying up for the 1st over, which if anything like my going for 1 pint routine means I'll still be watching in 3 hours !
Come on england !0 -

Game on. We'll be remembering that first wicket in several weeks' time. Won the toss; chose to bat; watched the first one go by; but then got out. We can't win or lose the Ashes in the first session of the first day. But we can show a bit of character...0
-
Or chizz, like harmy's first delivery to third slip, it can set the tone of what's to come!0
-
Still very sure that Strauss will score more than either Ponting or Clarke.0
-
No pace in the track and little swing so no reason why we can't be 100-1 at lunch.0

As long as we play straight that is! Let that be a lesson Trott.0 -
Strauss' last duck was against Pakistan this Summer. We won.0

Oh Trott, you f***ing wally0

86-2 at Lunch. Honours even.0

Slight edge to England I think after the dropped catch, but nary a fag paper between them. Absolutely compelling - especially the start of Doherty's battle with KP. I'm going to tough it out until tea - I'll look like something out of Dawn of the Dead in the morning0

KP gone, silly shot.
For once the timing works for me 5pm start here. Perfect0 -
125/4 teetering on the brink of disaster0

Not a bad start from us, this session could be crucial. Get through by losing no more than 2 wickets and we would have just about had the best of the days play.0
