20 odd players out of contract at the end of the season. He's slowly getting rid of those players that offer nothing or could have been a disruptive influence and is bringing his own players in.
Unfortunately he's had his hands tied due the two previous managers and the dross they signed.
There's no doubt the bloke's as loopy as the earings you'd expect to see on the modern day chav, but I do think he can turn it around if he's able to get rid of the majority of players he inherited.
He's signed Cowan-Hall (Wycombe), Cummings (Reading), Harding (Forest), Martinez (Unattached), Gregory (Halifax), Maierhoffer (some Austrian mob) and now this Fabbrini bloke from Watford. Add those to the couple of half decent players we already have, and a sprinkling of our good crop of youngsters, and I'd be surprised if we didn't start to pick up.
All that said, we need them all to be fit at the same time and not swapping beds in the treatment room.
It would be madness, utter madness geting rid of Holloway now , give him time and he will turn you around.
By 'punishment' I meant for FFP, not for Holloway being a bit of a div.
I'm convinced, convinced i tell you that he is the right bloke for the job, i'm pretty sure he will have you there or there abouts banging on the League 1 playoffs next season.

After the past few seasons, I'd take relegation and a tilt at coming back up again.
It's not much fun being bent over and shafted each week. Hopefully the farmer can turn it around and build on his own foundations.
BBW, you're an engaging fella and I enjoy your presence here, but it does make me wonder what Millwall's forum must be like if an articulate chap like you would constantly opt to enrich his team's rival's messageboard…'Mottingham', I read…a Lion amidst trainspotters?

First off, thank you for your kind words.
I'd like to think that all fans are different. As I said when someone asked me the same question shortly after I first started posting on here, a lot of my friends are 'Wall supporters and I socialise with them quite regularly so don't really have/want to engage 24/7 with others. That's not to say I'm not registered to Millwall sites for the purposes of reading.
I prefer to read other teams forums to see what's happening at their clubs and have registered to a few of them so I can engage in a bit of discussion and banter with them.
This site has always had topics (non football as I rarely read the CAFC related ones unless I'm in a sarcastic mood) on it that have been discussed with quite a modicum of restraint, fairness and balance which makes it a breath of fresh air.
One day I just thought "f**k it, sign up and tell these anorak wearing, timetable clutching, blanket over the knees, flask filling, window licking, happy clapping people that they're actually not so bad after all" ;-)

I quite like him; (which goes against their little song). Never thought I would say that about a spanner throwing, helmet pinching, knuckle dragging, seat throwing, own player abusing Smallwall fan.
On another note BBW, I hear that their is severe unrest within the squad and Hollowhead. My friend witnessed a very public argument with Ricardo Fuller outside the training ground the other week.

If you was a fellow 'Wall fan I'd have floored you by now.

Fair play to your owner who is obviously prepared to dig deep into his pockets to get you out of trouble. Not sure how good players from Wycombe and Halifax will be but at least you're making a go of it.
How many more defeats can your fans stomach though. A couple more and surely he's got to go?

Ah, Mr Fuller, yes. Apparently there'd been an exchange of views between some of our lot in Blackpool and Fuller during the game. The fans had then started booing the team, and rightly so considering the abject performance(s) they'd been serving up. At this point Fuller was substituted and the boos were still ringing out. Fuller decided the booing was aimed at him and he gave us the old two fingers. I didn't even realise he was being taken off until everyone started going mental at him.
Holloway came out and said what he'd done was unacceptable and he'd be 'dealt with'. Haven't heard about any altercations at the training ground though!?

This was just before Christmas BBW. My friend had only asked me this as he thought I might know something (Which I didn't)

That's a good question. The way I look at it is that there's not many managers I'd rather have if we were to go down. Holloway may be a bit of a doughnut but he's a good league manager. Players generally like him (when he's signed them as opposed to inheriting them and trying to motivate them to win their next contract). The biggest problem he's got is convincing players to sign for nasty Millwall. If he can get the players he wants and get rid of those that are stealing a wage, and believe me there's plenty of those, then I do think he can turn it around.
The squad rebuilding was meant to happen in the summer but results have forced the clubs hand in to trying to make a go of it now. If it's not enough then I'd be confident that the squad we'd have if we were relegated would be strong enough next season.

Why did Fuller get taken off after 20 odd mins in the Bradford game? Was it due to the sending off? If so you were losing at the time, seems strange to me.

I genuinely don't get this opinion. Aside from a season at Blackpool (which was as much down to Charlie Adam as it was Holloway), what else has he done?
I don't even count getting Palace promoted because his record there was appalling. He only had something like 2-3 wins in the 2nd half of the season and was very lucky they'd got off to a flier under Freedman.
To be fair to Holloway (who I used to quite like, but ...) he lost almost all the games after he took over at the Nigels, but crucially he did win the playoffs. Against Watford and Brighton, both of whom should have done better. He's not that great but I think he can turn things round in a crisis (Palace had dreadful form before the playoffs and only just made it into them). Perhaps it's the difference between an old school British manager and foreign ones?(though Poyet's failure is probably down to something else behind the scenes as he knew the English league well enough).
Whether he can do that in a relegation scrap, we shall see. Let's hope we're not in the same place.

His Christmas jumper profile picture, coupled with the remedial class smile, tells me that this Liam won't be breaking any moulds soon.
The circus entertainer has this window and the summer to nail his squad down before any potential punishment is forthcoming.
Envious of Mottingham.
