  • Has she been "Spayed" ??
  • Yes she got spayed after her first season around 8 months old. Yes I need something she thinks is hers to get her back and say I throw a ball for her she will go get the ball and come back but wont release it its like its mine so you aint having it back unless I have a second ball or stick
  • I think you answered your own issue there Rob, two balls!!
Something I did with Drake on his recall, use tug toys (look on ebay) 8 to 10 inches long with handles one or two you can always cut one off. I think it took 5/10 minutes to get Drake to recall. Tug toys are easier to take from the dogs mouth than a ball and with bigger dogs less likely hood of swallowing the bloody thing. Get a couple before we meet up or if you want to do something on the hurry up I'll use some of Baileys, but they do work..........As you can see ;)imageimageimage<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5000498/uploads/FileUpload/72/2318076547dabc8d7097ec27ee
  • Diego

    Lovely boy, how old?

  • I will go on ebay now where you walk your dogs is ideal my partner works and I drink in the Red Lion across the road
  • Would the rope tug toys be ok
  • Here go Rob, you want something that when you play tug is big enough for you to grab without getting bitten, because trust an excited playing dog will bite just as hard as a angry one. ;)

Sorry mate, I've just seen this. I was there.
I will be there tomorrow, somewhere around 09.00/09.30 normally just with Bailey at weekends.

  • Ok mate no probs I'll try and get over tomorrow morning but the weather is meant to be bad are you usually by the grass next to the police station
  • That's it mate, although expect me to be a bit fragile tomorrow. No shouting ;)

  • No problem Rob.
  • I would just like to say a big thank you to TCE for meeting up with me and Polly today and passing on some of his valuable knowledge on dog training and a special thanks goes to Bailey for putting Polly in her place when she started playing up.

  • No worrys Rob, couldnt do a great deal in that weather. But Bailey was just Bailey he just ignores everyone until they forget their manners. Then he reminds them I still not sure which dog bit me, nasty cut across my knuckle :((Lynne thought it was funny this time) but hopefully Polly will push on and be a great dog.
  • For those that would like to know that results arrived back from the states and Bailey is not is not affected by the life debilitating disease CDRM, however he is a carrier of the gene. Which in my language is fantastic news as his problems are not associated with that horrible disease, but there is a small possibility he could develop it in later life (8 or 9 years old ) those chances are about the same as us being hit by a bus. :)image
  • Great news, nice one TCE pal!
  • Yay !! You rock Bailey !!
  • Nice one mate, great news. See ya sat.

Oh yes mate, spent 8k (got 6 back on his insurance) and still dont whats wrong!! But never been so happy to see that result come through for the boy. :)
  • Great news Ray
  • Great news.
  • Wicked news mate bailey one big tough mo fo
  • Bailey decided today he was going to challenge me this morning, as I've said before he doesn't like the early morning walk, so wandered away and made his way upstairs. As I made my way upstairs obviously Bailey has the upper hand and decided to take advantage of this and see if he could takeover. He had a little grumble and showed some teeth as I reached for his collar and with the use of some industrial language and the scruff of his neck we swapped places I took back over as top man. As Lynne said, just a reminder that no matter how well trained or how much time and effort you have put in they are still animals and there are no 100% guarantees. Mickey loves his early morning walk and is ready go as soon as his collar goes on...........
