1st series is superior in every way.

About 5 episodes in on series 2

    Finished now. First was better
  • Quite enjoying series 2 of Ordinary Lies.
Interesting idea around how little we really know about the people we work with, each story fleshing out the sometimes dark background of a different character each episode.
Never saw the first series so can't compare.

First series was blinding, didn't realise there was a 2nd one, how far a long is it?
Series 2 finished a week or two ago. Should all be on iPlayer

    Sorry, just read this.
    What Steve said above.
I'm watching it on catch-up and have just seen the first 3.
Will have to check out series 1 if I can find it anywhere
  • Literally sat open mouthed watching the starlings over Rome.
    Planet Earth = Incredible.

The starlings, how about the fella feeding and petting the 60 strong pack of hyaena's?
  • Id be amazed if some of the writers of Westworld aren't the same who wrote Lost.
It's such a mess of a series yet I feel I have to stick with it in case there is some perfect revelation that makes all of it make sence.

In reality I suspect they don't have a clue in what direction this show is going .

I actually think the opposite is true now we've seen the end. The plot was clearly planned from start to finish and all adds up!

HBO have just registered web domains for ExploreSamuariWorld so it looks like they're expanding.

I agree it did come together at the end. I was half expecting them to stumble upon Futureworld which was the follow up to Westworld the film in 1976.

Let's see how successful you are before we buy those costumes

I loved it personally. Thought they gave enough clues for everyone to theorise, then sufficiently pulled the rug to entertain. Despite some major plot holes, like people leaving the park and a VIP event when the park was on security lock down, I thought it held up well. Can't believe we have to wait till 2018.
  • Just getting to the last couple of eps of Stranger Things, have really enjoyed this series.
Set in small town America in the 1980s, horrish thriller that squeezes in music from The Clash and Joy Divisiom.
    Highly recommend
  • Only a one off, but Sexy Murder on iPlayer is a brilliant parady of the whole Making A Murderer genre.

Rich Fulcher of Mighty Boosh fame is excellent in it.

  • Barracuda on BBC3
  • Just finished StartUp on Amazon. Picked up after a slow start. Some good twists and turns but the pacing was terrible and far too many long shots of Martin Freeman staring into space.
  • Watched Rillington Place . Tim Roth is brilliant but it's bloody grim . I can't believe people actually lived in houses so grey and depressing as seen in this.
  • Atlanta and Insecure were both fun to watch.
  • Anyone been watching season tow of man in the high castle?

We started on Saturday and my hearing ain't the best so had to turn it up loud then the wife and the in laws the following day all said they could hardly make out what people were saying. Looked on twitter and it seems a lot of people saying the same.
  • Anyone seen Outlander ?? Been told its was pretty good but don't want to download it all or buy the box set if its a pile of poo........
  • New to me rather than new, but I'm working my way through four seasons of "inside Amy Schumer". Highly amusing.

Don't go there mate unless you are looking for brownie points with the misses. Historical Disney porn for women.
  • Been watching Two Doors Down on bbc2. It's a second season but I wasn't aware of the first. Excellent sit com with brilliantly observed characters. Probably helps to be Scottish to get some of it.

Enjoyed both seasons (and the pilot). I haven't got a Scottish bone in my body, but know enough Scots folk to "get it".

if you've seen the Attenborough movie from the 1970's there was no need to watch this .. a strung out version of a very grim tale .. I gave up 1/2 way through the first episode, although it seemed well acted and the settings were realistic .. immediate post WW2 England was a grim and depressing place, probably up until the late 1950's
  • Just watched first episode of Quarry on Sky it looks promising so far

    Amy Schumer amusing? Wow.
  • Just started watching "The O.A" . Looks promising .
  • Just had an email from Sky, free box sets for 3 months so that'll do nicely. First time Sky have ever given me anything.

I'm 4 episodes in, it's different and has my attention. Reviews weren't great so nearly didn't bother, glad I'm did.
  • Nearly finished watching White Collar. A straightforward uncomplicated show but the characters and actors work well together.
  • Just watched the last black mirror episode, enjoyed the series apart from this one which contained some shocking acting, most notably from Kelly Macdonald.

I've seen the subsequent episodes. It's good but doesn't quite live up to the promise of the first episode.
