anyway Ukraine a better game for us
It wasn’t a tackle it was a clearance that the forward ran on to.

A tackle is when one player takes a ball of another.

it was a clearance. That the Ukrainian went in exceptionally late on

Posters above are right, it wasn't a tackle. But it was reckless and is a red card under the rules for serious foul play.

That's not what happened though, is it? The Swedish player wasn't standing still and the Ukranian just ran into him.

There were two players running at each other, one took off stud first, yes he got the ball, but he also when knee high through the other guy. It was reckless and dangerous and if you're claiming the Ukrainian  could some how have avoided the challenge with the speed they were both approaching each other then you're deluded.

BBC have a German pundit, Germany lose. They then have a Swedish pundit, and Sweden lose

Hopefully they'll find a Ukrainian pundit for Saturday!

Nowhere near as bad as the Harry Wilson tackle. That really was a shocker.

They looked decent for the last 15 minutes against the Netherlands... but then how good were the Netherlands after getting dumped out the tournament by the Czech Republic?

But he didn't though, not even close to an accurate description. He kicked the ball cleanly from underneath it and the natural momentum of the kick straightened his leg which meant the studs were then showing forward.

Of all the teams left in our side of the draw I can only see Denmark causing us problems tbh

Bit of a debate on Twitter about the red card. Collymore thinks it was a red, Lineker says not. Joey Barton unsurprisingly also says not a red. Roy Keane is yet to comment.

That was a classic 'looks bad in slo-mo' VAR red that really shouldn't have been, imo

Anyone know what the capacity will be for each of the quarter final venues?

    Munich, St Petersburg, Rome, Baku

England semi final (if we get there) is the same date as my 20th wedding anniversary. Well it would be if we hadn't divorced 11 years ago....😆

More seriously its also the same date as the London bombings in 2005.

Also same day as Andy Murray first.winning Wimbledon.

Not sure why that's relevant, but a fact nonetheless!

The Scum has it down that Rome is hosting games between 25-45% capacity

    Its a 72,000 stadium

  • I'm going with Belgium/Spain/England/Denmark to go through.

However would not be at all surprised if it was Italy/Switzerland/England/Czechs

Not won yet, but what a fooking result!!! The manner of it, wasn't pretty but we did the job and tactics proved spot on by the gaffer.

I still hope we have a bit more intent the next game, but i wont be moaning once we hear the line ups. It wouldn't surprise me if we go back to back 4 and chuck Mount in, hard to drop Saka but surely Grealish deserves a shot? I am not the manager so well leave that to him but still get in! Its coming home...

3 years ago this seemed to happen alot, i've not been in as lively setting this year. An old mans pub at home and with my dad lol

At a guess i am sure its not being a dick and its just having a pint in the hand whilst we score, i tend to personally put my beer on the floor/ table but some people aren't that reactive to the build up, one of my mates did it accidentally against Columbia but we did apologise profusely

Really? That looks like awful odds to me. 2/1 to reach the final seems about right.
