United fans flying a plane over the ground tomorrow. This is the statement that has been handed out to journalists:
"To whom it may concern,
"The decision to fly a plane over Old Trafford bearing the slogan 'Wrong One: Moyes Out' is one borne out of acute frustration - frustration at the poor results, lack of fight on the pitch and the unavoidable signs that David Moyes isn't up to the highest standards required to manage Manchester United Football Club.
"A significant proportion of Manchester United fans have had enough and unequivocally want David Moyes sacked.
"Further frustration has been created from the inaccurate perception that all Manchester United fans are behind David Moyes. A banner erected by Stretford End flags, that dubs David Moyes the 'Chosen One' (ludicrously prematurely into his career at United), suggests that all Manchester United fans are supportive of Moyes which isn't accurate.
"The plane and banner which will fly over the stadium this Saturday attempts to directly counter this very unpopular banner with the words 'Wrong One' and the 'Moyes Out' wording is our statement of what a significant group of Manchester United fans want to happen next at our club.
"This isn't a reaction because we aren't getting our own way in terms of winning games.
"There is neither sufficient time or space to list the unwanted records set by the club this season under Moyes' stewardship.
"We cannot have a manager who thinks it is acceptable to call our major rivals 'favourites' when they play us at Old Trafford. It is a betrayal of the club's ethos, a betrayal of the players and a betrayal of the fans support.
"We want a manager who understands and embraces our attacking traditions and has a vision of confidence for the future, not a manager who seems to be completely disassociated and visibly uncomfortable with the fact that he is the manager of Manchester United.
"The plane is due to fly over the stadium 10 minutes prior to KO and for the first 5 minutes of the game."

Dear G21 plane hirers, Thank you for your statement. We are currently busy fighting a relegation battle a battle for 6th place at the moment. Once this season is complete, we will happily meet to discuss your concerns. Yours, KM the glazers.
If United continue to carry on their current rate of decline , into next season , they will be in the bottom 3 , at the end of next season , whilst highly unlikely , i never thought Wigan would win the Fa Cup in my lifetime.
I know there's always been a bit of this kind of attitude out there, but every year there seems to be more and more of the 'loud mouth numbskulls' (to borrow a phrase) crawling out of the woodwork.
Poor form from the United fans. 20 years of success then throw their toys out of the pram after 1 season of being sh*te.
If they were winning games and sitting in the top 4 would there be a fly over? No.
Therefore whatever way they dress it up, to all intents and purposes, it's essentially a fly over because they're not winning games.
I agree with what you're saying. But to look at it from another perspective, if we get relegated and complain that we have been relegated teams in league 2 or conference south will be saying that we are complaining about nothing and throwing our toys out the pram. So I guess if you choose to support man utd you are looking to win the whole time and that's how their minds have come to function. Win win win.

Now i'm no real fan of Moyes, couldn't give a toss either way tbh.....but he was simply being honest in his assessment of Uniteds position with regards to Citeh...and of course hes right! All the betrayal crap is, well, crap. Citeh have improved, United have dipped.....probably going to be like it for some years yet....so they should stop grizzling and swallow it like everyone else has had to for donkies years.
Pathetic bunch of bedwetters who desperately need a reality check. Anyone who knows the first thing about football could see that squad needed a lot of work on it and they were not going to be competitive this season. If he's made one mistake it was getting rid of all the coaches too soon when a more organic, managed change might have been better.
But every manager wants his own guys in and even the best coaches in the world are not going to turn Cleverly, Nana, Young, Smalling et al into superstars.
If the board are smart they will be hoping they miss out on even the Europa nonsense this year and do a proper rebuilding job over the summer.
Looking more and more that Fergies manager finding qualities are right up there with his goalkeeper finding ones. ;-)
Lol. It's funny because we all remember Taibi who was an unmitigated disaster. There were other questionable ones too, like Roy Carroll and, I suppose, Bosnich. But don't forget, Ferguson signed Schmeichel, Barthez and Van Der Sar. They weren't bad. Also, I think you've got to give De Gea the benefit of the doubt for now. He's still very young.
I hate Man Utd as much as anyone, but these plane idiots almost make me feel sorry for Moyes. At least the Powell out lot restricted their feelings to forums. Either that or they didn't have the initiative or money to hire a plane.
Apparently the plane got booed. To be honest, I think a lot of the match going United fans have done themselves credit this season, and even a lot of the armchair fans haven't been spouting the bile that Liverpool did for Hodgson or Chelsea for AVB, for example.

Great pick Fergie.
