Hamlet's relegation had arguably been coming for a while - the first Covid lockdown arguably saved them from going down three years ago.
Really, they should have amicably parted ways with Gavin Rose last summer and rebuilt then. Instead they left it until September and made a mess of it. Losing Rose also meant they lost his academy so they have to rebuild that too.
Shame, because the club's in good shape off the pitch for the first time in years (partly thanks to the knob hoorays spending loads on beer). Hopefully they can hold onto Hakan Hayrettin and rebuild on the pitch next season.2 -

I might go to the Woking one tomorrow as it's just up the road but not really rooting for anyone in the NL. County deserve it for the way they play, let alone their points tally. Agreed but with their huge matchday income (the bars alone take fortunes) they ought to have been able to stay in National South. That said, they are down and will probably have a good time back in the Isthmian Premier. If they get the right manager in, they should have a really good season.iaitch said:

I think a lot of it is that there is a big part of the fan base can be described as guardianistas and have views that are not traditional views of many football fans and that the club buy into it. Some would say that supporting LGBTQ +, the homeless, refugees is woke as if that were a bad thing.seth plum said:If there wasn’t a match on they wouldn’t be part of the experience.
